Company Description

Founded in 2007, Akuo is a French independent renewable energy producer with operations in over twenty countries worldwide. The Group is active across the entire value chain: development, financing, construction, and operation of solar, wind, and energy storage facilities.

Akuo's teams combine technological relevance, environmental value creation and social impacts to develop exemplary and meaningful projects in local communities. The Group is notably a pioneer in agrivoltaics and storage solutions, and was the first to develop large-scale floating solar power plants in France.

Staying true to its values and convictions, Akuo is a responsible business, committed to team diversity and firmly dedicated to inclusion for all.

Job Description

Within the EPC organization and leading an international team of a dozen professionals, the Head of Procurement is accountable for defining, steering and governing Akuo’s Group‑wide procurement, contracting and supply chain strategy across Europe and the Americas for solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.

This is a key leadership role with direct impact on project competitiveness and value creation. The role ensures the delivery of competitive, resilient and financially robust procurement solutions across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development and FID through construction, commissioning and operations.

Acting as a key business partner, the Head of Procurement provides a consolidated view of spend, contractual commitments and supply chain flows at Group level, while driving resource allocation, performance and operational excellence.

  • Lead global sourcing and tendering processes (RFP/RFQ) and negotiate technically and financially robust contracts (equipment supply, EPC/EPCM, multi-contracting, O&M, LTSA and other services).
  • Ensure strong risk management practices across procurement, contracting and logistics (supplier risk, contractual exposure, market volatility).
  • Drive continuous improvement of methods, tools, standards and procurement frameworks, embedding lessons learned and best practices.
  • Develop procurement capabilities and animate the procurement community to ensure alignment, expertise and performance.

Cross-functional support & project contribution

  • Act as a strategic partner to Engineering, Development, Construction, Finance, Legal and Operations to align procurement with project strategy, budget, and delivery timelines.
  • Operate through regional and category leads, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to Group standards, with direct senior involvement on priority, complex or at‑risk projects.
  • Secure economic, contractual and supply chain performance throughout project development, execution and operations.
  • Ensure alignment between contractual risk allocation, insurance coverage, internal policies and lender expectations to support financial close.
  • Support project teams and entities in supplier risk management and contract execution, including claims and performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to the competitiveness of bids and successful project delivery across the portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in procurement, contracting or commercial roles within renewable energy, infrastructure or EPC‑driven environments.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, EPC contracting and high‑value negotiations with Tier‑1 OEMs and contractors.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
