We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to support the AENB Compliance team in executing key compliance risk management activities. The Manager will provide subject matter expertise and oversight related to banking regulatory requirements, assess compliance risks associated with affiliate activities and new or modified Bank products, and support governance processes designed to identify and mitigate compliance risk. The role will partner with senior leaders, Affiliate Business Compliance Officers, Legal, Risk, Product, and first-line stakeholders to identify emerging risks, support timely escalation and remediation, and promote an effective compliance control environment
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Compliance subject matter resource for key banking regulations and regulatory requirements, with particular emphasis on Regulation W (Sections 23A and 23B), Regulation O, Community Reinvestment Act requirements, and other regulations applicable to AENB governance activities.
- Provide Regulation W compliance oversight and credible challenge of transactions and activities between AENB and its affiliates, including assessment of applicable restrictions, quantitative limits, collateral requirements, exemptions, and market-terms requirements, and partner with relevant stakeholders to identify, monitor, and escalate affiliate transaction risks.
- Engage in Risk and Control Self-Assessment activities for Risk Assessable Units that have Regulation W/Affiliate Risks.
- Support and enhance New Product Governance by reviewing compliance risk assessments and providing credible challenge for new or modified products, services, capabilities, processes, partnerships, and other initiatives impacting AENB.
- Proactively identify, assess, monitor, and communicate emerging compliance and regulatory risks, including reviewing Bank-impacting issues, events, customer complaints, monitoring results, audit findings, and other risk indicators to determine whether remediation, escalation, or additional oversight is warranted.
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of Bank compliance policies, standards, procedures, training and governance requirements.
- Support Compliance responses and remediation strategies related to regulatory examinations, internal audits, compliance testing, monitoring, and other assurance activities, providing effective challenge of identified issues, remediation plans, and control enhancements.
- Develop clear and concise reporting materials for senior management and relevant governance forums.
