The role serves as a trusted technical advisor, connecting customer system requirements with differentiated ADI technologies and solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with customer architecture, hardware, software, and validation teams on complex, fast-moving development programs. The position requires strong system-level expertise, hands-on problem-solving capability, and the ability to lead technical engagements from early concept and architecture definition through design, validation, and production.

Key Responsibilities

· Serve as the lead FAE and system-level technical authority for a highly strategic automotive customer, guiding engagements from concept through production.

· Build trusted relationships with customer engineering teams and translate system requirements into differentiated ADI solutions.

· Influence architecture and design decisions through technical consultation, solution proposals, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept development.

· Provide hands-on design-in support, including design reviews, simulation, laboratory evaluation, debugging, validation, and issue resolution.

· Coordinate cross-functional ADI resources and communicate customer requirements, market trends, competitive insights, and product gaps to internal stakeholders.

· Partner with product teams to influence roadmaps and deliver technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and training.

· Support additional strategic automotive customers and regional priorities as business needs require

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline

· Typically 8 or more years of relevant field applications, product applications, system design, semiconductor, or customer-facing engineering experience

· Proven success leading strategic customer engagements from architecture through production

· Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and board- or system-level design experience

· Hands-on experience with laboratory measurement, characterization, debugging, and root-cause analysis

· Ability to translate customer requirements into solution strategies and execution plans

· Demonstrated cross-functional leadership, influence, and clear communication with technical and executive audiences

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced customer environment

· Ability to engage regularly with customer teams in the San Francisco Bay Area

· Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional overnight travel

Additional Qualifications

· Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline

· Experience supporting automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, semiconductor customers, or advanced mobility platforms

· System expertise in mixed-signal signal chains, power management, battery management, sensing, embedded systems, high-speed interfaces, connectivity, timing, or isolation

· Knowledge of vehicle architectures, in-vehicle networking, software-defined vehicles, ADAS, electrification, or functional safety

· Experience with embedded development, system debugging, prototypes, evaluation platforms, or reference designs

· Familiarity with automotive development, qualification, and product lifecycle requirements

· Ability to mentor engineers, set technical direction, and build trusted senior-level relationships

Key Attributes

· Customer-focused and responsive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

· Technically curious and able to learn new products, technologies, and system architectures quickly.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and competing priorities.

· Collaborative, pragmatic, and able to build alignment across internal and external stakeholders.

· Strong analytical judgment, structured problem-solving skills, and sound technical decision-making.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
