The role will contribute to the development of financial plans, provide robust challenge and analysis around commercial performance, and drive enhanced visibility of key business metrics including sales, margins, operating expenditure, and capital investments. You will take ownership of critical performance reporting and profitability analysis, helping stakeholders understand business drivers, risks, and opportunities while supporting informed decision-making.

In addition, you will support capital expenditure planning and investment appraisal activities, oversee product and channel profitability analysis, contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, and help develop reporting tools and dashboards that improve business insight. This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and provides an excellent opportunity to influence business performance while contributing to the evolution of a best-in-class FP&A and commercial finance function.

  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to improve visibility and predict business performance.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand performance drivers and recommend actions to improve financial outcomes.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning

  • Support the annual budget, periodic forecast, and long-range planning processes across retail, wholesale, and corporate functions.
  • Coordinate planning activities across multiple markets and functions, ensuring submissions are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Challenge assumptions and key planning inputs to ensure forecasts are realistic, robust, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Consolidate regional and functional plans and prepare presentations for senior management review.
  • Produce detailed Plan vs Prior Year, Plan vs Forecast, and Plan vs Budget analyses, highlighting key business drivers and risks.
  • Support the development of driver-based planning models and continuous enhancements to the planning process.
  • Assist stakeholders in identifying actions to mitigate sales shortfalls, cost pressures, and other business risks.

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to commercial, operational, and functional stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insight and challenge to support decision-making, strategic initiatives, and business performance improvement.
  • Support the evaluation of new business opportunities, partnerships, and commercial initiatives through financial modelling and investment analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with international markets and central functions, promoting consistency in reporting, planning, and performance management.

Product, Channel & Margin Analysis

  • Own and enhance product, category, channel, and customer profitability reporting.
  • Analyse gross margin performance, identifying key drivers of variances including pricing, sales mix, product costs, and volume movements.
  • Monitor profitability trends and provide recommendations to improve margins and overall business performance.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards that improve visibility of sales, margin, and profitability performance across the business.
  • Deliver regular insight into product and channel performance, highlighting opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Capital Expenditure (Capex) & Investment Appraisal

  • Support the annual Capex budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and provide regular reporting on project performance and spend.
  • Partner with project owners to track delivery of expected benefits and investment outcomes.

  • Support cost centre owners with financial analysis, cost management, and performance tracking.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, efficiency, and business insight.

Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
