Mobile X-Ray Technologist – Athens, GA

Location: Athens, Georgia Job Type: Full-time Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm or 2:30pm - 11:00pm) plus Weekends Specialties: Radiology, Mammography, Echocardiogram (Echo), Electrocardiogram (EKG/ECG)

Our client is seeking a skilled Mobile X-Ray Technologist to provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other locations in Athens, GA. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team, providing essential diagnostic services using portable digital radiography equipment. You will perform and process X-Rays and EKGs, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate interpretations while maintaining communication with healthcare professionals and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and Process X-Rays: Use portable digital radiography equipment to perform X-Rays and transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
  • EKG Performance: Perform EKGs as needed and transmit results to a Cardiologist.
  • Equipment Handling: Unload portable X-Ray equipment and transport it to facilities for exams as ordered by physicians.
  • Documentation: Scan and submit exam-related paperwork and billing documents per protocol.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with dispatch, management, and facility staff.
  • Professional Interaction: Communicate efficiently with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain vehicle and X-ray equipment in good working order.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in: Meditech RAD – Radiology Mammography Radiology Echocardiogram (Echo) Electrocardiogram (EKG/ECG) Echocardiography
  • Certifications: Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Driver's License: Valid Regular Driver License (DL).
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination required.
