The posting

Job Overview:

We are looking for a senior Partnerships professional to build and expand strategic relationships across the Asia Pacific region.

You will work across a broad ecosystem that may include technology companies, financial institutions, fintech, payment providers, consulting firms, system integrators and other strategic partners.

This is not a traditional partner-management position. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the regional partnership ecosystem from the ground up and proving its commercial value.

What Will You Do:

  • Build and execute the regional partnerships strategy across Asia Pacific.
  • Identify and approach high-value partners based on market potential and strategic fit.
  • Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across multiple countries and organizations.
  • Create partnership models covering strategic alliances, referrals, joint solutions and other commercial opportunities.
  • Generate new business opportunities through the partner ecosystem and work closely with sales teams to convert them.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of partnership-led opportunities.
  • Lead commercial discussions and support negotiations through to agreement.
  • Work with Legal, Finance, Product, Sales and other internal teams to structure and launch partnerships.
  • Develop joint business plans and initiatives with key partners.
  • Track partner performance, pipeline development and commercial results.
  • Identify new market, technology and industry trends that could lead to strategic partnerships.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry and technology events.

What Makes You A Good Fit:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in partnerships, alliances, business development, strategic sales or ecosystem development.
  • Experience within payments, fintech, banking technology, enterprise technology or a related sector is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Southeast Asian markets and regional business practices.
  • Proven experience building strategic partnerships and developing relationships at senior/executive level.
  • Strong commercial understanding with a track record of turning partnerships into revenue or business opportunities.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements and developing mutually beneficial partnership structures.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales and indirect/channel-led business development.
  • Demonstrated experience building something from the ground up, rather than only managing an established partner portfolio.
  • Comfortable working independently, creating structure where none exists and taking ownership from strategy through execution.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to work across different countries and cultures.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–40% initially across the region.
