The Role

ASM is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to lead the strategic architecture, governance, and transformation of our global engineering and product development ecosystem.

As a senior individual contributor, you will serve as the architecture authority for ASM's PLM landscape, enabling seamless integration across Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Service functions. You will define the future-state PLM architecture, guide enterprise-wide transformation programs, and ensure technology investments align with business objectives, engineering processes, and enterprise architecture standards.

This role requires deep expertise in Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions, including Teamcenter, Teamcenter Simulation, Teamcenter Project Portfolio Management (PPM), and related PLM capabilities, as well as strong familiarity with engineering authoring tools such as Creo and NX.

What You'll Be Working On

PLM Enterprise Architecture Leadership

  • Define and maintain ASM's global PLM architecture strategy and roadmap.
  • Establish architecture principles, standards, patterns, and governance for PLM-related platforms.
  • Lead architecture reviews and design authority boards for PLM initiatives and programs.
  • Ensure end-to-end business process alignment across engineering, product development, manufacturing, service, and quality domains.

Solution Architecture & Technology Strategy

  • Own architecture decisions for Teamcenter and associated engineering systems.
  • Evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and supportable solution architectures.
  • Lead solution reviews, architecture assessments, and technical design governance for strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify the application landscape and improve business capabilities through technology modernization.

Digital Engineering & Product Development Transformation

  • Partner with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality leaders to drive digital engineering initiatives.
  • Define future-state capabilities supporting Digital Thread, Digital Twin, configuration management, product data management, simulation lifecycle management, and engineering change management.
  • Enable seamless integration between Teamcenter and enterprise platforms including SAP S/4HANA, manufacturing systems, data platforms, and collaboration tools.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as trusted advisor to business executives and senior engineering leadership.
  • Facilitate workshops, architecture reviews, and cross-functional solution discussions.
  • Influence strategic technology decisions through data-driven recommendations and business case development.
  • Build strong partnerships with implementation partners, and technology vendors.

Architecture Governance & Risk Management

  • Own the ASM PLM architecture strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Review solution designs for scalability, performance, maintainability, and operational readiness and application rationalization.
  • Identify architecture risks, technical debt, and mitigation strategies across the PLM landscape.
  • Support investment prioritization and technology roadmap planning.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 10-15 years of direct PLM and engineering systems experience, including architecture responsibility for global environments.
  • Minimum 5 years in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Lead PLM Architecture roles.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
