About the Role

We are seeking a UI Artist to create high-quality visual interfaces for real-time interactive experiences. This role combines strong visual design skills with hands-on implementation, working closely with UX designers, technical UI designers, and engineers to turn wireframes and concepts into polished, production-ready UI.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-fidelity UI mockups, prototypes, visual concepts, design systems, and style guides.
  • Transform UX wireframes into polished interfaces with strong visual hierarchy, consistency, and usability.
  • Design menus, HUD elements, icons, controls, states, and other user-facing interface elements.
  • Implement final UI artwork in Unreal Engine using UMG and related tools.
  • Create and refine UI animation, motion, materials, shaders, and 2D visual effects as appropriate.
  • Work with Technical UI Designers and Engineers to move designs from concept through functional implementation.
  • Maintain visual consistency and quality across features and interface systems.
  • Create reusable visual components and support the evolution of the product's UI design system.
  • Iterate on designs based on usability feedback, technical constraints, performance needs, and production requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality UI assets and features on schedule while adapting to changing requirements.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience designing UI for games or other real-time interactive experiences.
  • Strong visual design skills demonstrated through a portfolio, including layout, typography, color, iconography, and composition.
  • Proficiency with Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or comparable visual design tools.
  • Hands-on experience implementing UI in Unreal Engine using UMG or a comparable real-time engine UI system.
  • Experience with UI animation and motion for interactive interfaces.
  • Ability to work from wireframes through high-fidelity visual design and production implementation.
  • Strong understanding of design systems, reusable components, and visual consistency.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with UX, Technical UI, Engineering, and other art disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating UI materials, shaders, or real-time visual effects.
  • Working knowledge of Blueprint scripting for UI behavior and interaction.
  • Experience designing HUDs, menus, inventory, progression, or other game-oriented interface systems.
  • Experience optimizing UI assets, textures, animations, or materials for real-time performance.
  • Experience designing for multiple resolutions, aspect ratios, input methods, or platforms.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and localization considerations for UI.
  • Responsive web or application design experience; HTML, CSS, or JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with shader development, technical art, or related real-time graphics workflows is a plus.

Language Proficiency

  • Professional English, with the ability to run requirement and design conversations directly with North American stakeholders.

The successful candidate combines strong visual judgment with practical real-time implementation skills, can carry UI work from concept to production, and collaborates effectively with technical partners to deliver polished, consistent, and performance-efficient user experiences.
