The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Asset Designer: Platform Games based in Italy.

As an Asset Designer: Platform Games, you will play a key role in adapting and producing high-quality visual assets for classic and modern games distributed across leading web and streaming platforms. You will transform existing artwork into polished, platform-ready creative packages that meet strict technical specifications and visual standards. Working closely with production, publishing, engineering teams, and external partners, you will ensure that every asset is optimized for its intended environment. Your work will span key art, promotional graphics, user interface elements, and 2D/3D game assets, supporting a diverse portfolio of games and global publishing initiatives. This is an opportunity to combine strong graphic design skills with technical precision in a flexible, remote, project-based environment. If you thrive in fast-paced production workflows and enjoy bringing creative assets to life across multiple digital platforms, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact.

Accountabilities

  • Produce complete, platform-compliant asset packages, including capsule art, hero banners, app icons, splash screens, store graphics, and social media adaptations.
  • Adapt and optimize key art for distribution platforms such as MSN, Reddit, YouTube Playables, and Netflix Games, ensuring compatibility with different aspect ratios, display resolutions, and technical requirements.
  • Prepare production-ready layered source files in Photoshop and Illustrator, including clean alpha channels, clearly separated foreground and background elements, and parallax-ready assets for user interfaces and startup screens.
  • Create, format, and optimize 2D and 3D game assets, vector graphics, and Blender models for lightweight WebGL and HTML5 game integration.
  • Design, refine, and maintain in-game UI components, HUD elements, and promotional graphics to ensure visual consistency and usability.
  • Organize source files, version control, naming conventions, and directory structures to enable seamless integration into engineering and publishing workflows.
  • Review and validate deliverables against technical specifications, platform guidelines, safe zones, and compliance requirements before final handoff.
  • Incorporate feedback from licensors and stakeholders, accurately applying legal notices, brand guidelines, logo requirements, and visual identity standards.
  • Coordinate asynchronously with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality assets according to project milestones and publishing schedules.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in 2D or 3D game asset design, platform asset adaptation, or web and HTML5 game production.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality key art, store capsule design, and optimized visual assets for commercial game releases.
  • Hands-on experience creating, adapting, or delivering platform games and interactive assets for major distribution environments, such as MSN, Reddit, YouTube Playables, Netflix Games, or comparable platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, including non-destructive editing, compositing, vector creation, and batch automation.
  • Proficiency in Blender for 3D modeling, rendering, and optimization of assets for web-based environments.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, WebGL, and Unity asset pipelines, including their technical constraints and optimization requirements.
  • A strong understanding of platform-specific asset specifications, safe zones, UI/UX requirements, and aspect ratios across web and streaming environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of graphic design fundamentals, including composition, typography, and color theory, with the ability to maintain visual quality across multiple formats.
  • Proven ability to follow corporate visual identity standards, logo lockups, typography rules, and established brand guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and operational discipline, with experience working in milestone-driven production environments.
  • Excellent asynchronous communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
  • Availability to work remotely with core working-hour overlap across European and Indian time zones.
  • Motion graphics and video editing experience for animated store capsules, promotional trailers, and end cards.
  • Experience coordinating intellectual property approval workflows with external brand licensors.
  • Familiarity with Spine 2D or frame-by-frame sprite animation.
  • Experience using AI-assisted design tools, such as generative fill and image upscaling, while ensuring full copyright compliance and respecting intellectual property requirements.
  • Remote working: Work from anywhere, with core availability overlapping European and Indian time zones.
  • Flexible commitment: Adjustable workload aligned with production priorities and publishing schedules.
  • Project-based engagement: An initial three-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on launch milestones and project needs.
  • Monthly compensation: A retainer-based payment structure.
  • Creative and technical variety: Work across a diverse portfolio of classic and modern games and multiple digital distribution platforms.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with production, publishing, engineering, and external creative teams.
  • Clear project framework: Milestone-driven workflows with defined technical requirements and delivery expectations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
