Job Description

As a Waiter at Cambridge House, you will help bring our dining spaces to life by delivering thoughtful, attentive service that reflects the distinctive character of our House. Working closely with the Head Waiter, you will ensure every guest feels welcome, every table is beautifully presented and every detail is thoughtfully considered. You will understand how to adapt your approach to each guest while maintaining the same exceptional standards of care, attentiveness and precision. Joining us for our pre-opening chapter, you will have the opportunity to develop your craft, contribute your ideas and bring genuine warmth and enthusiasm to a team creating something truly special in the heart of Mayfair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome each guest with warmth, grace and attentiveness, setting the tone for an experience that feels both exceptional and effortlessly personal.
  • Deliver thoughtful, polished food and beverage service, ensuring every order is precise, every detail is considered and every dish is presented with the care it deserves.
  • Bring our menus to life through your knowledge and passion for food, wine and beverages, guiding guests towards new discoveries and memorable culinary moments.
  • Work closely with the Head Waiter to prepare each table with precision and elegance, while helping orchestrate the natural rhythm of service across your section.
  • Anticipate the needs of our guests with swift intuition, responding with care and transforming thoughtful details into lasting impressions.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with our culinary, beverage and wider Cambridge House teams, upholding the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness and food safety in every detail.
  • Share your knowledge, support your colleagues and contribute to a culture of excellence and camaraderie, helping establish the traditions and cherished moments that will define Cambridge House from its very first day.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality role, ideally within a luxury environment.
  • A warm and professional manner, with strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of guest interaction.
  • An interest in food, wine and beverages, with the enthusiasm to develop your product knowledge and service skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the confidence to take initiative, learn from experienced team members and support the wider team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, as required.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
