  • 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment

A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Quality Technician 2 to perform precision mechanical inspections of machined components using advanced metrology equipment. This role supports quality assurance activities through inspection, equipment calibration, documentation, and corrective action processes to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and manufacturing standards.

Quality Technician 2 Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical inspections of precision-machined components using advanced metrology equipment, including CMMs (optical and touch probe), interferometers, laser micrometers, and other precision measurement systems.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), to verify component compliance with quality and manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform calibration of metrology equipment and maintain accurate inspection, calibration, and quality documentation.
  • Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities by investigating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), documenting findings, and assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.

Quality Technician 2 Qualifications:

  • University degree, specialized training/certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a quality control and manufacturing environment performing precision mechanical inspections using advanced metrology equipment, including CMMs, optical measurement systems, interferometers, laser micrometers, or similar technologies.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), with excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support equipment calibration, quality documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, CAPA, root cause investigations, Kaizen/PDCA, and ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or FDA quality standards and certifications is preferred.

Shift:

  • 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Training will be conducted during the day shift (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
