Over de functie

In deze functie ben je onderdeel van de sectie EU & Mededinging. De sectie heeft ruime ervaring ten aanzien van alle facetten van het Europees recht en is met name gespecialiseerd in: (Europees) mededingingsrecht, aanbestedingsrecht en competition litigation. De advocaten en assistants van de sectie vormen een hecht team. Er is hoogwaardige expertise aanwezig en de sectie opereert in de top van de markt. Ook heerst er een laagdrempelige sfeer en open cultuur: er wordt daarom niet alleen hard gewerkt, maar ook veel gelachen.

Als werkstudent assisteer en ondersteun je de advocaten binnen de gehele mededingings- en aanbestedingsrechtelijke praktijk: zo help je bij het opstellen van adviezen en processtukken, werk je mee aan het uitbouwen van de praktijk én draag je bij aan het informeren van de advocaten over recente ontwikkelingen op het gebied van het mededingingsrecht en Europees recht. In deze rol word je actief begeleid door ervaren advocaten en krijg je tegelijkertijd de ruimte om eigen verantwoordelijkheid te dragen. Sterker nog, je wordt aangemoedigd jezelf te ontwikkelen en uitgedaagd om het beste uit jezelf te halen!

BarentsKrans is een onafhankelijk, Nederlands advocaten- en notarissenkantoor. Met ruim 170 kantoorgenoten werken wij aan mooie juridische uitdagingen, zowel nationaal als internationaal. Wij hebben een vestiging in het centrum van Den Haag en op de Zuidas in Amsterdam. Ons kantoor bestaat uit de volgende secties: Arbeidsrecht, Banking & Finance, Cassatie, Commerciële Contracten, Corporate, Commercial & Financial Litigation, Corporate / M&A, EU & Mededinging, IE, Data & Technologie en Vastgoed.

Jouw profiel

  • je bevindt je in de laatste fase van je bachelor of in je master rechten;
  • je hebt affiniteit met het mededingings- en/of aanbestedingsrecht;
  • enige praktijkervaring in de juridische dienstverlening is een pre;
  • nevenactiviteiten, vrijwilligerswerk, (bij)banen, hobby’s of andere bezigheden waaruit je ambities en persoonlijke ontwikkeling blijken zijn een pre;
  • je kunt je zowel mondeling als schriftelijk uitstekend uitdrukken in het Nederlands en Engels; en
  • je bent bij voorkeur zo snel mogelijk voor twee of drie dagen per week beschikbaar (een latere startdatum is bespreekbaar en werkdagen zijn in overleg flexibel in te delen).

Ons aanbod

  • goede begeleiding door de advocaten met wie je samenwerkt;
  • een informele werkomgeving met veel leuke kantooractiviteiten, zoals teamuitjes, borrels en kantoorfeesten;
  • een arbeidsovereenkomst voor twee dagen per week voor (in principe) de duur van drie maanden;
  • een salaris van € 2.850, - bruto per maand op fulltime basis (37,5 uur per week) inclusief 8% vakantiegeld en exclusief een lunchkostenvergoeding; en
  • een volledige ov-reiskostenvergoeding (als je geen recht (meer) hebt op een studenten ov-abonnement).
