Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Maintenance Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating real-time maintenance response during the shift, owning each equipment break-in from first report through close-out in the CMMS. This role is the single point of ownership for in-shift notifications, status tracking, and communication between operations, maintenance, and the planning office, ensuring that every equipment failure, finding, and resource request is captured, actioned, and handed over accurately. One Dispatcher covers each crew (A through D), reporting fleet status hourly and closing the shift with a handover report reconciled and signed by both supervisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities and tasks: • Open the shift by reviewing the handover: outstanding break-ins, findings, OEM alerts, damage items, and parts in transit; confirm the fleet status in the condition-monitoring system against equipment due for service • Own each equipment break-in from first operator report through close-out: raise and maintain the CMMS notification, loop in the shift supervisor and technician, record the diagnosis, and track parts (stock reservation, purchase request, or expedited delivery) through to arrival • Record malfunction start and end times, confirm failure codes, process equipment status changes (TECO) in the CMMS, and issue follow-up notifications where parts remain outstanding • Triage OEM condition-monitoring alerts (e.g., RMS, VIMS) by severity and raise CMMS notifications accordingly; route findings to be fixed immediately or scheduled to backlog with parts ordered; record and escalate equipment damage findings to Reliability • Communicate fleet status to the shift communication channel each hour, including status, location, and estimated time to repair for every down machine • In the last hour of shift, confirm fuel and lubricant inventory and flag resupply needs; reconcile malfunction end times and failure codes with technicians and the shift supervisor; reconcile the shift's availability and breakdown report against the CMMS and condition-monitoring system • Prepare and deliver a reconciled shift handover report, signed by both the outgoing and incoming shift supervisors, covering all open items, overnight notifications, findings, cause codes, and bill-of-material discrepancies • Track work orders, backlog, and schedule progress in the CMMS; use the CMMS and fleet management system (e.g., SAP, Pitram) to maintain an accurate, current picture of fleet and work order status • Communicate and coordinate with all levels of maintenance and operations, including shift supervisors, technicians, operators, parts coordinators, buyers, OEM contacts, and reliability engineers • Escalate safety-risk findings and critical OEM alerts to the shift supervisor immediately; escalate services running behind their scheduled window, major rebuilds missing a milestone, and expedited-parts costs exceeding the approved threshold, per the established escalation path • Support weekly reliability reviews by contributing operator and equipment performance data (e.g., OEM scorecards) to help the Reliability and Operations teams identify bad-actor machines • Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices • The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role required

QUALIFICATIONS

Education • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; technical certificate or diploma in maintenance, scheduling, or a related field preferred Education • Some experience in mining, maintenance, operations, or a dispatch/scheduling support role preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Proven experience with CMMS and fleet or condition-monitoring systems (e.g., SAP, Pitram, OEM telematics such as Sandvik RMS or CAT VIMS) • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate calmly across multiple stakeholders during active equipment downtime • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment • High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline • Solid understanding and applying of MSHA regulations and compliance

What We Can Offer You

• A comprehensive compensation package including bonuses benefits, and stock purchase plans where applicable • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team • An Opportunity to transform Traditional Mining into the future of Digital Mining • Opportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endless • Access to a variety of career opportunities across Nevada Gold Mine locations • Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer • Qualified candidates who meet the required experience and technical criteria may be eligible for relocation assistance (for out-of-area hires) and/or a sign-on bonus upon joining Nevada Gold Mines.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
