Junior Cloud / Platform Engineer

Bij Blackbirds bouwen we AI-oplossingen die daadwerkelijk draaien. We doen dit al voor organisaties als Ministerie van Defensie, Rijkswaterstaat, voor verzekeraars en zorginstellingen. En we groeien snel. Het Azure-platform waarop die oplossingen draaien, staat aan het begin van een volgende fase: professionalisering, standaardisatie en zaken als ISO 27001-compliance.

Voor die fase zoeken we een junior die niet wacht tot alles is ingericht, maar gewoon meebouwt.

Over Blackbirds

Blackbirds is een boutique AI- en dataconsultancy uit Rotterdam. We werken aan complexe data-, AI- en cloudvraagstukken voor organisaties die verder willen dan experimenten. Geen buzzwords, geen PowerPoint-consultancy — oplossingen die draaien. We zijn een team van zo'n 12 mensen en groeien hard.

De rol

Je komt te werken als junior ondersteuning van onze Cloud Engineer, samen met een senior data engineer en de AI tech lead. Je werkt doorlopend mee aan ons gedeelde Azure-platform. Dus geen losse opdrachten, maar echt meebouwen. Je krijgt ruimte om te leren, een kennisgebied te claimen en daadwerkelijk invloed te hebben op hoe het platform er over één tot twee jaar uitziet. Natuurlijk betrekken we je ook in klantprojecten en dagen we je uit om te laten zien wat je kunt.

Wat je gaat doen

Je werkt mee aan Azure-infrastructuur en networking (VNets, subnets, private endpoints, NSG's), draagt bij aan identity & access management via Azure AD, RBAC en managed identities, en zet Infrastructure-as-Code op met Terraform. Daarnaast denk je mee over security-by-design en de voorbereiding richting ISO 27001, DORA, GDPR, NIS2 en meer, help je bij het vastleggen van standaarden en documentatie, en experimenteer je met CI/CD, logging, monitoring en cost management. Alles op een manier die goed past bij een groeiende startup.

Wat we zoeken

Je hoeft dus niet extreem ervaren te zijn. We zoeken affiniteit, aantoonbare basiskennis en leergierigheid. Je hebt basiskennis van Azure en cloud resources, voelt je thuis bij security en networking, en werkt zelf-startend en zelfstandig zonder dat iemand je hoeft aan te sturen. Basiservaring met Git en Azure is een must. Overige is mooi meegenomen en leer je hier. On the job.
