  • Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols and fabrication instructions to accurately complete production tasks.
  • Carry out gouging, grinding and weld preparation activities to support efficient production outcomes.
  • Identify and report weld defects, quality concerns and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work closely with Supervisors, Leading Hands and team members to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by complying with all safety procedures and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:

  • Trade qualification as a First Class Welder, Welder, or equivalent fabrication trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience performing high-quality welding within a heavy manufacturing, mining, engineering or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, welding procedures and weld quality requirements.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and technical specifications.
  • Experience working with carbon steel, wear-resistant materials and heavy fabricated components.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality welds and minimising rework.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health, safety and quality requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven commitment to continuous improvement, reliability and professional workmanship.
  • Forklift, Dogging, Rigging or Working at Heights tickets will be highly regarded.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
