Job Description

Cantor International Services Limited is seeking a seasoned Development Manager to own the end‑to‑end architecture of its trading platform. You will build and lead a high‑calibre team of developers and testers, drive release cycles across multiple environments, ensure platform resilience and performance, and provide round‑the‑clock production support. The role requires close collaboration with product managers, infrastructure, client IT, and external vendors to deliver secure, low‑latency trading solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own platform architecture, ensuring resilience, high performance, and built‑in test automation.
  • Lead, develop, and hire development and QA teams, managing performance and growth.
  • Run the full release cycle: branch management, planning, execution, and hot‑fixes across DEV, QA, UAT, PROD, and DR.
  • Partner with Infrastructure to maintain healthy environments and participate in DR tests and CAB processes.
  • Provide 24x6 production support, triaging incidents, tracing trade flows, and driving root‑cause fixes.
  • Translate Product Manager requirements into delivered features and coordinate cross‑team integration.
  • Collaborate with client IT on connectivity, onboarding, SSO, questionnaires, and platform issues.
  • Manage vulnerability remediation, security questionnaires, and vendor/partner access to code repositories.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Java development with Spring, JMS, and enterprise messaging (e.g., Solace).
  • Experience with FIX protocol (QuickFIX/J) and XML/JSON message integration.
  • Strong Oracle/SQL skills for production trade and data troubleshooting.
  • Proven leadership of development and QA teams, including hiring and performance management.
  • Hands‑on production support and root‑cause analysis in a live trading environment.
  • Release and deployment management across multiple environments using Git, Jira, Jenkins, and test automation.
  • Excellent communication with traders, management, vendors, and client IT staff.
  • FX product knowledge (spot, forwards, NDFs, options) and market data integration (Refinitiv/RMDS).
  • Low‑latency design experience, such as the LMAX Disruptor pattern.
  • Security and infrastructure expertise: SSO/OAuth/SAML, SFTP, Linux administration, and vulnerability remediation.

Compensation Expectations: $250,000-$325,000 Base Salary

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
