  • Perform proactive vehicle, bike, and foot patrols of campus, and complete routine operational system checks
  • Conduct daily lock-ups and unlocks for academic and administrative buildings, including interior and exterior checks
  • Provide student welfare checks and safety escort services in and around campus, and work with local law enforcement as needed

Fire Safety Operations

  • Serve as primary first responders to calls involving fire alarms, fire exit door activation, and fire evacuation drills
  • Respond to all fire and trouble alarms on campus and assist the Burlington Fire Department
  • Conduct daily inspection and testing of safety equipment

Relationship Building

  • Foster positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, neighbors, and external agencies
  • Promote open, fluid, and professional communication with all Champlain College stakeholders
  • Maintain professional relationships with the Burlington Police and Fire Departments who support our campus

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
  • Driver's license required, with no more than 3 points
  • Willing to train the right candidate — prior experience in public safety, security, or law enforcement preferred but not required

  • Full-time, in-person position based at our main campus and lakeside office in Burlington, VT
  • Rotating shift schedule required to provide 24/7 campus coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Requires regular patrol on foot or vehicle across campus grounds in all weather conditions
  • Must be available to respond to emergencies and time-sensitive situations across campus

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
