Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and oversee Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) activities across our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and implementing effective HSE policies and practices within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) legislation, environmental regulations and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Oversee risk management processes, including the preparation and review of Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and other relevant safety documentation.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and conduct safety training, toolbox meetings and awareness programmes to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Monitor HSE performance, maintain relevant records and prepare reports for management review.
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities, external auditors, contractors and other stakeholders on HSE-related matters.
  • Ensure contractors and employees comply with established safety requirements and safe working practices.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor environmental management practices, including waste management and pollution prevention, where applicable.
  • Work closely with management and operational teams to address safety concerns and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Possess a recognised WSH Safety Officer qualification or certification that meets the applicable requirements for the role in Singapore.
  • Relevant experience in Health, Safety and Environmental management within an aerospace, manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
  • Candidates from the aerospace industry are preferred; applicants from other manufacturing sectors are welcome.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health legislation and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to identifying hazards, resolving safety issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), precision engineering or other industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Relevant experience liaising with regulatory authorities and supporting external audits.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
