ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage AI software team as its founding product engineer, working directly with company leadership and backend engineers. You will shape the product experience from early ideas through production, building interfaces that help operators understand and work with AI agents. This role is an opportunity to establish the product craft and reusable patterns that will support the team as it grows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Own the experience from user flows and early sketches through frontend implementation and production.

- Design and build interfaces that make complex workflows approachable and help users understand what to do next.

- Explore interaction patterns that make AI agents understandable, useful, and trustworthy.

- Create reusable components and design systems that improve consistency and help the team ship faster.

- Work directly with customers, learn how they operate, test prototypes, and iterate based on feedback.

- Partner with backend engineers to bring product designs into production.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- At least 4 years of experience designing and building products at fast-growing startups, or early-career work that demonstrates strong product judgment and shipping ability.

- A portfolio featuring products you personally took from idea to production, including examples of adapting to changing priorities while balancing speed and craft.

- Strong UI and UX judgment, with the ability to explain the reasoning behind design decisions.

- Solid frontend fundamentals and the ability to independently ship production interfaces. A specific technology stack is not provided.

- Systems thinking, initiative, and follow-through, including a willingness to share work early and learn directly from customers.

- Interest in exploring AI products and software experiences where agents take action for users.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range is $160,000 to $220,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
