The successful candidate will support effective portfolio delivery by maintaining high-quality project artefacts, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, providing accurate reporting and insights, and enabling robust oversight of project progress, risks, controls, and overall delivery performance.

The role will support the delivery of change across finance processes, workflows, reporting, and systems integrations, while ensuring alignment with the Finance systems strategy and governance framework. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to the planning and execution of strategic transformation initiatives, including supporting Finance integration activities related to acquisitions, demergers, and other organisational changes. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management, project delivery, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive change across multiple business units and global locations while ensuring effective governance, compliance, and sustainable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the consistent application of project delivery methodologies, PMO governance frameworks, and project lifecycle controls across the portfolio.
  • Maintain project artefacts, ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and compliant with governance, lifecycle, and audit requirements
  • Apply PMO standards, templates, and processes across project planning, reporting, RAID management, change control, financial tracking, and governance activities.
  • Produce clear and accurate project reporting, translating delivery information into meaningful insights for Project Managers, governance forums, and senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, financial variance, benefits, and change requests, providing effective delivery oversight and escalation where required.
  • Support the coordination and governance of projects, programmes, and portfolios, ensuring adherence to established PMO processes and controls.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on PMO standards, governance expectations, and best practice throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilise project management and collaboration tools, including Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, and reporting dashboards, to enable effective project delivery and communication.
  • Take ownership of assigned PMO activities, ensuring actions, approvals, and deliverables are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Promote consistency, continuous improvement, and the adoption of best practice across project delivery, governance, and portfolio management.
  • Build effective working relationships with project teams and stakeholders, influencing outcomes through collaboration, organisation, and PMO subject matter expertise.

What will you bring to the role?

  • We are looking for an experienced PMO professional with a strong understanding of project governance, delivery controls, and portfolio reporting.
  • Proven ability to identify data inconsistencies, governance gaps, delivery risks, and process non-compliance, taking appropriate action to support successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated judgement in managing competing priorities, stakeholder requests, reporting deadlines, and governance requirements within a fast-paced delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, with experience escalating emerging risks, unresolved actions, and control issues through appropriate governance channels.
  • Proven ability to improve delivery control by maintaining accurate, complete, and timely project information, artefacts, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated capability in monitoring project milestones, risks, issues, changes, and financial variance to support delivery oversight and reduce project risk.

Other key skills you will bring to the role:

  • Builds strong relationships with project teams and stakeholders.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
