The posting

We are a leading fire protection services provider with operations across the country, delivering inspection, repair, and system integration services to commercial and industrial clients. Our Tempe, AZ team supports a full range of fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and special hazards systems, with a strong commitment to technical development and career growth at every level.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Lead Technician to anchor our repairs operation out of Tempe, AZ. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused primarily on fire alarm troubleshooting and repair, with secondary responsibilities in fire sprinkler systems and special hazards. You will direct a team of at least three technicians, interface directly with customers and sales partners, assist in scoping and writing repair proposals, and serve as a mentor to less experienced members of the team. Inspection support for fire alarm, sprinkler, and special hazards systems may also be required on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-level troubleshooting and repair work on fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems
  • Direct daily work assignments for a team of three or more technicians
  • Interface with customers and sales representatives to scope and write repair proposals
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level technicians, actively investing in their growth
  • Maintain clear communication with management, field teams, and clients throughout each job
  • Support fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and special hazards inspections as needed
  • Represent the company professionally on job sites and in front of client contacts

Required Qualifications

  • NICET Level II or higher in fire alarm systems
  • Fluent working knowledge of Notifier fire alarm systems
  • Fluent working knowledge of Fike gas detection and special hazards systems
  • Strong proficiency with multimeters and electrical troubleshooting
  • Proven ability to perform complex fire alarm repairs independently
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or developing less experienced technicians
  • Ability to manage multiple active jobs simultaneously without losing track of priorities
  • Strong communication skills with both technical teams and non-technical clients
  • Willingness to learn and become proficient on additional manufacturer platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of NAC
  • Voice evacuation system experience
  • Fire sprinkler exposure or certifications

Benefits and Compensation

  • Base pay starting at $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr, based on certifications and experience
  • Full benefits package
  • Merit-based compensation structure — pay advancement tied to NICET certifications and factory credentials, not tenure
  • Individualized Development Plan (IDP) provided at hire, outlining a clear path to further compensation growth
  • Multiple opportunities for factory training and manufacturer certifications
  • Immediate start preferred

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
