The posting

We are hiring a Security Foreman to run commercial low voltage and security installation projects from start to finish out of Rancho Cucamonga, with travel to Los Angeles County and the surrounding area. You will supervise field technicians, coordinate daily job site activity, and serve as the primary field contact for project managers, customers, and subcontractors. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can install, troubleshoot, and program access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems and also lead a crew. The right Security Foreman reads construction drawings fluently, holds the schedule, and keeps the job site safe and to standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial low voltage and security installation projects from rough-in through closeout
  • Supervise and mentor field technicians on daily tasks, quality, and productivity
  • Coordinate daily job site activities, material staging, and crew assignments
  • Serve as the primary field contact for project managers, customers, and subcontractors
  • Install, terminate, troubleshoot, and program access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
  • Verify installations meet code, manufacturer specs, and company quality standards
  • Enforce safety compliance and OSHA practices on every job site
  • Manage project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and as-builts
  • Keep projects on schedule and report progress and issues to the project manager
  • Troubleshoot systems, networks, and connected devices in the field
  • Train and develop technicians to build crew capability

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial low voltage and security installation and service experience
  • 4+ years supervising or leading technicians in the field
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and low voltage systems
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Experience troubleshooting security systems, networks, and connected devices
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights in commercial construction environments
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts as projects require
  • Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school training or electrical engineering coursework
  • Manufacturer certifications on large commercial access control platforms such as Lenel, S2, Software House, Avigilon, AMAG, OpenPath, Genetec, or Milestone
  • Advanced programming experience across multiple access control and CCTV platforms
  • Prior foreman experience on ground-up commercial construction
  • Exposure to fire alarm or other life safety systems

Compensation and Benefits

  • $32 to $41 per hour, based on experience, skills, and work location
  • Medical, dental, and life insurance
  • 401k plan
  • Paid holidays and paid time off
  • Overtime available as project needs require
  • Merit and longevity award program
  • Clear path for career advancement

Why This Role

This is a foreman seat with a security integrator that has been steady for more than 40 years, so the work is consistent and the jobs are real commercial projects, not one-off residential calls. You get ownership of your sites, a crew to lead, and the backing of a company that invests in training and promotes from within. Pay tops out at $41 an hour, overtime is available, and the benefits are complete. If you know commercial access control and CCTV, can lead a crew, and want a long-term home instead of the next short contract, this is a strong fit.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
