The posting

We are hiring a Security Technician based in Rancho Cucamonga, with travel to Los Angeles County and the surrounding area. This is a hands-on installer role on commercial low voltage security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion. You will pull cable, mount and terminate devices, and support installs under a Lead Technician or Foreman. It is a good fit for someone with up to 2 years in commercial construction or low voltage who wants to grow into a full Security Technician.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull and route low voltage cable for security systems in commercial buildings
  • Install and mount devices including cameras, card readers, door hardware, and intrusion sensors
  • Terminate wiring on devices, panels, and equipment
  • Mount equipment according to construction drawings and specifications
  • Read construction drawings and project specifications
  • Support access control, CCTV, and intrusion system installation under a Lead Technician or Foreman
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment safely
  • Document completed work accurately
  • Keep the job site clean and organized
  • Communicate clearly with team members and customers on site
  • Work independently on assigned tasks
  • Follow site safety practices at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Up to 2 years in commercial construction or low voltage installation
  • Basic knowledge of low voltage systems including access control, CCTV, or intrusion
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read construction drawings and project specifications
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders
  • Comfortable working in active commercial construction environments
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts as needed
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security system installation experience
  • Hands-on exposure to access control or CCTV platforms
  • OSHA 10
  • Experience terminating low voltage cable and mounting security devices
  • Prior work on an install crew under a Lead or Foreman

Compensation and Benefits

  • $23 to $27 per hour, based on experience
  • Full-time, non-exempt with overtime available
  • Medical, dental, and life insurance
  • 401k plan
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • On-the-job training and development
  • Clear path to advance into higher-level technician work

Why This Role

This is a real entry point into the security systems trade for someone with a year or two of low voltage or commercial construction behind them. You will learn access control, CCTV, and intrusion work hands-on, next to a Lead Technician who knows the trade. The company has run commercial projects for over 40 years and promotes from within, so the skills you build here go somewhere. If you want steady commercial work, ladder time, and a path to becoming a full Security Technician, this is worth a look.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
