The posting

Connect Energy partners with a maritime client to look for the following individual to join their Singapore team.

Responsibilities

  • The Service Engineer supports global customers on both Integrated Control Monitoring System (ICMS) as well as propulsion / steering control systems.
  • Involve in providing onboard services, commissioning of refit and retrofit project, remote guidance / product support to customers and backend support for field service team
  • Maintain good relationships with existing clients
  • Involve in workshop test and technical preparation
  • Generate service reports, update drawings cable information database
  • Manage related administrative work
  • Ad hoc related duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Electronic / Electrical / Instrumentation
  • 3 - 6 years experience in Alarm Monitoring and Control System as well as good knowledge of computer hardware / peripherals and basic software's
  • Experience onboard ship for automation systems (control and propulsion), system process knowledge, distributed control systems and power management
  • Hands on service on the main engine and thrusters is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skills, independent and good project management skills
  • Able to travel overseas on short notice
