Position Summary
The Program Evaluation Specialist supports curriculum assessment, evaluation, and continuous improvement for the Physician Assistant (PA) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programs within the Creighton University School of Medicine.
Works collaboratively with faculty, program leadership, and educational teams. Supports the ongoing evaluation of curriculum effectiveness and student learning. The Specialist coordinates activities, supports the interpretation and presentation of educational outcomes, and contributes to accreditation and program improvement efforts for both the PA and MD programs.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in medical education, curriculum development, student learning, and program evaluation, with the ability to use assessment data to help faculty and program leaders make informed decisions about educational quality and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining data collection, management, analysis practices in compliance with accreditation standards (ARC-PA for the PA program; LCME for the MD program).
- Aid in the development and completion of reports to support the assessment and evaluation practices of the MD and PA program.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the assessment processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field required (Social Sciences, Statistics); Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of related work experience.
- Working knowledge of research/survey design required, experience conducting social science research is preferred.
- Working knowledge of statistics and statistical software applications and ability to perform descriptive, inferential, multivariate, psychometric, qualitative (e.g., focus group, content analysis), and mixed methods research.
- Expertise in a wide range of data visualization techniques and technologies to provide efficient and effective reporting.
- Strong understanding of program evaluation techniques and methods.
