ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Associate Mentor – BA & PM to train and mentor students in Business Analysis, Business Analytics, and Product Management.

This is a hands-on, student-focused role involving training, project guidance, interview preparation, resume and portfolio support, and career mentoring.

The ideal candidate should have practical industry experience, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to take on multiple responsibilities based on student and program requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Student Training & Mentorship

  • Conduct group and 1:1 mentoring sessions.
  • Train students on Business Analysis, Business Analytics, and Product Management.
  • Guide students through assignments, case studies, and real-world projects.
  • Track student progress and provide actionable feedback.

Career & Project Support

  • Guide students in developing practical projects and professional portfolios.
  • Support resume and LinkedIn profile development.
  • Conduct mock interviews and provide interview preparation.
  • Help students understand industry expectations and career opportunities.

Content & Student Engagement

  • Develop assignments, case studies, interview questions, and learning content.
  • Conduct workshops, webinars, and office hours.
  • Research current industry practices, tools, and job requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve student outcomes.

Ownership & Flexibility

  • Take ownership of multiple student-support responsibilities.
  • Work with students from different educational and professional backgrounds.
  • Proactively identify student challenges and provide solutions.
  • Adapt to changing program and student requirements.

TOOLS & SKILLS

Business Analysis: Requirements Gathering, BRD/FRD, Process Mapping, Stakeholder Management

Product Management: Product Discovery, User Research, PRDs, User Stories, Roadmaps, Prioritization, Product Metrics

Business Analytics: Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau

Project Management: Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence

Career Development: Resume Development, Portfolio Development, LinkedIn Optimization, Mock Interviews

AI & Productivity: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI tools

WHAT YOU BRING

Must Have

  • 3–4 years of relevant industry experience in Business Analysis, Business Analytics, Product Management, Project Management, Consulting, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of Business Analysis and Product Management concepts.
  • Hands-on experience working on real-world projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in simple, practical language.
  • Strong mentoring and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • Previous training, mentoring, tutoring, or EdTech experience.
  • Experience with Figma, Miro, Notion, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
  • Experience with GenAI and AI productivity tools.
  • Experience conducting workshops or webinars.
  • Experience with resume, portfolio, or interview preparation.
  • Understanding of U.S. job-market expectations.
