Vacatureomschrijving

  • Opereren als business partner voor het management en stakeholders door financiële inzichten en adviezen te leveren die strategische besluitvorming ondersteunen;
  • Coördineren van (ad hoc) analyses in samenwerking met onze internationale supportorganisatie (Global Finance Services) om inzichten te leveren die het management ondersteunt;
  • Samen met het team toezicht houden op de financiële administratie en afsluiting van boeken om nauwkeurigheid en tijdigheid te garanderen, borgen van de juiste toepassing van IFRS en accounting policies;
  • Ondersteuning bij (financiële) projecten gericht op procesoptimalisatie en organisatieverbetering;
  • Ondersteunen van het Client Project Control team (CPC) bij complexe projectreviews inclusief reviewen van revenue recognition vraagstukken en toetsen van aannames;
  • Het verwoorden van complexe accounting vraagstukken in memo’s zoals impairment analyses en revenue recognition bij complexe projecten;
  • Signaleren, analyseren en rapporteren van financiële risico’s (bijv. schattingen, contractrisico’s, revenue leakage) en voorstellen doen voor mitigatie en verbeterde control-ontwerpen;
  • Onderhouden van relaties met externe auditors; presenteren en verdedigen van accounting- en auditstandpunten;
  • Begeleiden, coachen, en inspireren van teamleden en creëren eigenaarschap in teams.

Functie-eisen

Natuurlijk overtuig je anderen met je goed onderbouwde standpunten en behoud je altijd een scherp oog voor details. Bovenal durf je jezelf te zijn. De echte jij. Met je eigen sterke punten, kijk op de wereld en persoonlijkheid. Daarnaast heb je als Manager - Financial Controller:

  • Een afgeronde universitaire of bacheloropleiding in Finance (Bedrijfseconomie/Accountancy);
  • Ten minste 8 jaar relevante werkervaring in management accounting, (financial) control of audit; ervaring binnen een Big Four of vergelijkbare professionele serviceorganisaties is een sterke pre;
  • Ervaring met audit van onderhandenwerk/projecten en met het opstellen van position papers en technische accountingdocumentatie; sterk in het onderbouwen van standpunten met feiten en regelgeving;
  • Ervaring met risk-assessment: identificeren van financiële risico’s en inrichting van beheersmaatregelen;
  • Praktische kennis van relevante accounting-standaarden (IFRS en Dutch GAAP) en toepasselijke wet- en regelgeving;
  • Sterke analytische vaardigheden en oog voor detail; in staat om complexe cijfers en veronderstellingen helder te vertalen naar managementinformatie;
  • Uitstekende schriftelijke en mondelinge communicatieve vaardigheden in Nederlands en Engels;
  • Ervaring met presenteren naar stakeholders en auditors;
  • Proactieve, hands-on mentaliteit;
  • Ervaring met SAP, Power BI/Excel-modeling en met audit-/data-analysetools (pré).

Aanvullende informatie

Als Manager - Financial Controller fungeer je als strategische business partner voor het management en stakeholders. Je ondersteunt het team met financiële analyses in samenwerking met Global Finance Services, zodat het management beschikt over de inzichten die nodig zijn voor betere besluitvorming. Je houdt toezicht op de financiële administratie en afsluiting van boeken om nauwkeurigheid en tijdigheid te garanderen. Daarnaast ondersteun/leidt je financiële projecten gericht op procesoptimalisatie en organisatieverbetering. Met je hands-on mentaliteit pak je ook zelf operationele taken aan waar nodig. Je draagt bij aan audit-gerelateerde activiteiten, met name WIP-audits en het opstellen van position papers. Je durft jezelf uit te spreken en anderen uit te dagen om samen beter te worden. Jij kunt met jouw unieke bijdrage meebouwen aan ons Finance team om op te treden als volwaardige business partner voor onze (interne) business. Dit doe je vanuit ons kantoor in Rotterdam en ook vanuit huis.

Wij zoeken een kritische denker met een achtergrond in de audit, die de ambitie heeft om onze financiële processen op scherp te zetten. Jouw kennis van IFRS en SAP is geen doel op zich, maar het gereedschap waarmee je structurele optimalisaties doorvoert. Je vervult een sleutelrol waarin je niet alleen reviewt, maar ook inspireert. Je werkt intensief samen met stakeholders op alle niveaus en gebruikt jouw scherpe analyses om het management te adviseren en te overtuigen. Als jij de persoon bent die pas tevreden is als een proces niet alleen klopt, maar ook slimmer en efficiënter is, dan is dit jouw volgende stap.
