We’re a young family looking for an exceptional Private Family Nanny & Family Assistant to join our long-term household team.We currently have a 3-month-old daughter and are expecting a newborn son in the coming months. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves caring for infants and who also enjoys creating a calm, organized, beautifully run home. This is not a traditional nanny position. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, notices the little things, and enjoys making life easier for the family. We value professionalism, warmth, discretion, reliability, and a genuine commitment to excellence. If you’re someone who naturally sees what needs to be done without waiting to be asked, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Childcare

  • Provide exceptional, loving care for our infant children.
  • Follow feeding, sleep, developmental, and medical routines.
  • Support age-appropriate development through reading, tummy time, music, sensory activities, outdoor walks (weather permitting), and interactive play.
  • Maintain daily logs and communicate clearly during caregiver handoffs.
  • Prioritize safety and exercise excellent judgment at all times.

Family Assistant Responsibilities

When the children are sleeping or independently resting, responsibilities transition toward maintaining an organized environment that supports the family.Responsibilities include:

  • Keep the nursery and children’s bedrooms immaculate.
  • Wash, sterilize, and organize bottles and feeding supplies.
  • Complete children’s laundry and neatly organize clothing.
  • Rotate clothing sizes and organize closets.
  • Restock diaper stations and nursery supplies.
  • Organize toys, books, and baby equipment throughout the day.
  • Prepare diaper bags for outings.
  • Monitor inventory of diapers, wipes, formula, medications, and children’s supplies.
  • Help maintain the children’s play areas and common spaces in a clean, organized, guest-ready condition.
  • The family has two friendly dogs. While this is not a pet care position, we ask that you help keep the dogs’ toys and designated areas tidy and pick up after the dogs as needed to maintain a clean environment.
  • Work collaboratively with our full-time housekeeper and other household staff. This is not a deep-cleaning role; however, everyone on the household team is expected to contribute to maintaining an organized, orderly, and well-run home.
  • Leave each shift with children’s spaces fully reset and ready for the next caregiver.

Professional Conduct & Household Standards

Our home is calm, organized, and professionally run. We are looking for someone who naturally contributes to that environment through professionalism, discretion, initiative, and attention to detail. While on duty, we expect our team members to:

  • Maintain excellent personal hygiene, professional grooming, and clean, appropriate attire.
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of our family.
  • Take initiative rather than waiting for direction.
  • Work collaboratively and respectfully with other household staff.
  • Help create an environment that feels peaceful, organized, and welcoming every day.

Technology & Phone Policy

The children deserve your full attention while they are awake.

  • No personal phone use while a child is awake or while holding, feeding, or actively caring for a child, except in the event of an emergency.
  • Personal phone conversations should not take place inside the home while on duty except in an emergency.
  • Earbuds, headphones, FaceTime, streaming videos, podcasts, or other personal media are not permitted while supervising the children.
  • Personal phone use should be limited to scheduled breaks or when the children are safely asleep and all assigned responsibilities have been completed.

Physical Requirements

This is an active role requiring the ability to:

  • Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and get on and off the floor throughout the day.
  • Push strollers, carry car seats, and perform the physical responsibilities associated with caring for infants.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional nanny experience.
  • Extensive experience caring for infants and newborns.
  • Experience caring for multiple young children is preferred.
  • Experience working in a private home is strongly preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).
  • Outstanding professional references.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred.

Who Will Thrive Here

You’re someone who:

  • Takes pride in creating order and organization.
  • Notices what needs to be done without being asked.
  • Is dependable, trustworthy, and emotionally mature.
  • Has excellent judgment and common sense.
  • Enjoys being part of a team.
  • Wants to build a long-term relationship with one family.

You understand that exceptional childcare goes beyond caring for the children—it means helping create an environment where the family feels supported, organized, and at ease.

Our Hiring Process

To ensure a great fit for everyone, final candidates will participate in:

  • Professional reference checks.
  • Comprehensive background screening.
  • Verification of CPR certification.
  • A paid working interview.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
