About DKatalis

DKatalis is a financial technology company with multiple offices in the APAC region. In our quest to build a better financial world, one of our key goals is to create an ecosystem-linked financial services business.

DKatalis is built and backed by experienced and successful entrepreneurs, bankers, and investors in Singapore and Indonesia who have more than 30 years of financial domain experience and are from top-tier schools like Stanford, Cambridge London Business School, JNU with more than 30 years of building financial services/banking experience from Bank BTPN, Danamon, Citibank, McKinsey & Co, Northstar, Farallon Capital, and HSBC.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll shape meaningful product experiences by combining user understanding, design excellence, and strategic thinking. You’ll work closely with UX Writers, UX Researchers, Product Managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to solve complex problems and build digital products that make banking simple, intuitive, and enjoyable for our users.

Great Design and User Experience

Create intuitive, engaging, and consistent product experiences that address user needs and deliver meaningful value.

  • Design end-to-end user experiences across apps, websites, and other digital touchpoints, translating complex problems into simple, intuitive, and accessible solutions.
  • Develop user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-quality interfaces that support user goals and business objectives.
  • Apply strong visual design and interaction principles to create polished, cohesive, and engaging experiences across platforms and devices.
  • Use and continuously improve our design system, contributing reusable components, interaction patterns, and design standards that enable consistency and scalability.
  • Identify and solve usability issues, interaction friction, inconsistent patterns, and conflicting product experiences across user journeys.
  • Collaborate with UX Writers to integrate content and interaction design, ensuring language, information, and visual elements work together to guide users effectively.
  • Explore and validate different design approaches, using creativity, established design principles, and emerging technologies to develop effective solutions.
  • Consider accessibility, usability, technical feasibility, and diverse user needs throughout the design process to create inclusive experiences.

Design Strategy and Process

Translate user insights, business needs, and technical constraints into effective product solutions, ensuring design decisions are grounded in evidence and aligned with measurable outcomes.

  • Identify user problems, business opportunities, assumptions, and knowledge gaps to establish clear design objectives before developing solutions.
  • Work with UX Researchers, UX Writers, data teams, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, evaluate concepts, and validate design decisions.
  • Translate research findings, behavioral data, and business requirements into actionable design opportunities and practical product solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, and business teams to shape product features, define requirements, explore trade-offs, and align on intended outcomes.
  • Take ownership of design problems from discovery through delivery, ensuring solutions address underlying user needs rather than simply fulfilling predefined requirements.
  • Apply and continuously improve our design process, adapting methods and activities to the complexity, uncertainty, and needs of each project.
  • Clearly articulate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations through compelling narratives that help stakeholders understand the problem, proposed solution, and expected impact.

What You Need to Have

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product design, UI/UX design, or a related field working on digital products. Fintech or banking experience is a plus.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design, user-centered problem-solving, visual excellence, interaction design, and cross-platform experiences.
  • Proven ability to translate user research, business requirements, and complex problems into practical, intuitive, and effective product solutions.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, usability principles, visual design, accessibility, and design systems.
  • Experience collaborating with researchers, writers, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to use research insights, product data, and usability findings to inform design decisions, evaluate solutions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain design rationale and project context to audiences unfamiliar with the work.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and balance user needs with business and technical constraints.
  • Experience providing constructive feedback, mentoring other designers, and contributing to design standards and team practices.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to take ownership, influence decisions, and continuously improve both design quality and product outcomes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
