Key Responsibilities

As a User Researcher, you’ll help teams make better product decisions by developing a deep understanding of our users, their behaviors, needs, and motivations. You’ll work closely with Product Designers, UX Writers, Product Managers, data teams, and business stakeholders to turn research findings into meaningful product improvements and business opportunities.

User Understanding and Research Excellence

Plan and conduct research that uncovers meaningful user insights and helps teams build products that solve real problems.

  • Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research using appropriate methods, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, field studies, diary studies, and behavioral analysis.
  • Develop a deep understanding of users' needs, behaviors, motivations, pain points, and decision-making processes across different contexts and stages of their lives.
  • Translate research findings into clear user insights, behavioral patterns, journey maps, personas, and other artifacts that help teams understand their users.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers and UX Writers to evaluate user journeys, test design concepts, assess content comprehension, and identify opportunities to improve the overall experience.
  • Identify usability issues, unmet needs, and emerging user behaviors that can inform product improvements and uncover new opportunities.

Research Strategy, Planning and Impact

Connect user understanding with product strategy and business objectives, ensuring research informs decisions and delivers measurable value.

  • Work with Product Managers, Product Designers, UX Writers, and business teams to identify critical questions, assumptions, and knowledge gaps before solutions are developed.
  • Define research objectives, select appropriate methods, and establish research plans that balance rigor, speed, and project needs.
  • Translate business challenges into research questions that uncover underlying user problems and potential opportunities.
  • Combine qualitative findings, quantitative data, market insights, and behavioral analytics to develop a more complete understanding of users and their needs.
  • Communicate insights through clear narratives and actionable recommendations, helping stakeholders understand not only what users do, but why it matters and what teams should do next.
  • Support product discovery, prioritization, and evaluation by providing evidence that helps teams assess opportunities, test assumptions, and make informed trade-offs.
  • Define and track research impact, connecting insights to product decisions, usability improvements, customer outcomes, and relevant business metrics.
  • Continuously improve research processes, tools, knowledge repositories, and collaboration practices so that user insights remain accessible and useful across teams.

What You Need to Have

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in UX research, user research, or a related research field for digital products. Fintech or banking experience is a plus.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing research projects, methodological choices, synthesis, actionable insights, and demonstrated influence on product or business decisions.
  • Proven experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, with the ability to select appropriate methods based on research objectives.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex or conflicting evidence into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience working closely with Product Designers, UX Writers, Product Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to make research findings understandable and relevant to non-research audiences.
  • A solid understanding of usability, human behavior, research ethics, sampling, research bias, and the limitations of different research methods.
  • Ability to connect user needs and behaviors with product opportunities, business objectives, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience establishing research practices, maintaining research repositories, or improving research operations and knowledge sharing.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to influence decisions, challenge assumptions constructively, and mentor others.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
