The posting

Amsterdam - Bij de Volkskrant zijn het hele jaar door op alle deelredacties stagiairs welkom. Journalistiek talent bieden wij een leuke en leerzame periode, van minimaal drie maanden.

Tijdens je stage krijg je volop kansen om in een plezierige werksfeer zelf aan de slag te gaan. Je draait volledig mee op een deelredactie: je schrijft artikelen, helpt mee bij audiovisuele producties of doet ander werk binnen onze journalistieke organisatie.

Deze vacature is bedoeld voor stageplekken van maart tot en met mei 2027. Stuur je sollicitatie voor deze periode uiterlijk woensdag 16 december 2026 in. De weken daarna gebruiken wij voor de selectie van stagiairs. Voor latere stageperiodes kun je al wel solliciteren, maar over de invulling van die plekken nemen we pas later een besluit.

  • Motivatiebrief
  • Drie Nederlandstalige artikelen of producties van jouw hand. De artikelen of producties hoeven niet daadwerkelijk gepubliceerd te zijn. Voeg deze artikelen integraal of via een url toe onderaan je motivatiebrief.
  • Vergeet niet te vermelden op welke redacties je zou willen werken en in welke periode.

We bieden stages aan op de volgende deelredacties:

  • Binnenland: je schrijft veel nieuwsberichten, reportages, interviews of korte analyses over het nieuws uit Nederland.
  • Politieke redactie (in Den Haag): je schrijft veel nieuwsberichten en debatverslagen over de landelijke politiek.
  • Buitenland: je schrijft veel nieuwsberichten, interviews, profielen of korte analyses over het nieuws uit andere landen.
  • Economie: je schrijft veel nieuwsberichten, reportages, interviews of korte analyses over het economisch nieuws uit binnen- en buitenland.
  • Wetenschap: je schrijft veel nieuwsberichten, analyses of interviews over het nieuws uit de wetenschappelijke wereld.
  • Data-, osint- en onderzoeksjournalistiek: je schrijft artikelen op basis van data of andere openbare bronnen of werkt mee aan langlopende onderzoeken.
  • V (kunst, cultuur en media): je schrijft nieuwsberichten, analyses, interviews of reportages over het nieuws uit de culturele wereld in binnen- en buitenland.
  • Sport: je schrijft nieuwsberichten, analyses, interviews of reportages over het nieuws uit de sportwereld.
  • Visuele redactie: je helpt en denkt mee aan de productie van onderscheidende online verhalen, waarbij tekst samengaat met foto, video en andere verhaalelementen.
  • Video, audio en event: je helpt en denkt mee bij de productie van onze podcasts, video’s en bij de organisatie van live-evenementen van de Volkskrant.
  • Foto / beeldredactie: je helpt en denkt mee bij de keuze van foto’s bij onze nieuwsartikelen en andere verhalen.
  • Digitaal team: je helpt en denkt mee bij de verspreiding van onze artikelen via de mobiele app, website, nieuwsbrieven en pushberichten.

Wat maakt jou een goede kandidaat?

  • Je bent nieuwsgierig, hebt journalistieke ambitie en affiniteit met de Volkskrant.
  • Voor de verslaggevende redacties: je hebt schrijftalent en -ervaring.
  • Je bent gewend om zelfstandig te werken.
  • Je bent minimaal drie maanden fulltime beschikbaar. Een vierdaagse werkweek is bespreekbaar.

We hebben een voorkeur voor studenten van een hbo-opleiding of een master journalistiek, maar ook anderen zijn van harte welkom om te solliciteren. De Volkskrant streeft een diverse redactie na: we nodigen stagiairs met een biculturele achtergrond nadrukkelijk uit werkervaring bij ons op te doen.

Wat bieden wij?

  • Een leuke en leerzame periode bij de grootste kwaliteitskrant van Nederland.
  • Intensieve begeleiding door je chef en ervaren redacteuren.
  • De stage duurt in principe drie maanden. Een verlenging is tijdens je stage bespreekbaar.
  • Een stagevergoeding van 400 euro per maand (exclusief een reiskostenvergoeding).
  • Een abonnement op de Volkskrant gedurende je stageperiode.
