Job Description

The Opportunity

Our Finance MEH (Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC) Industrial Placement is expected to begin in early September 2027 and offers a starting salary of £26,050. You'll join a team that plays a key role in helping the business make informed decisions through financial insight, analysis and reporting.

During this 12-month placement, you'll work alongside Financial Control Analysts and Financial Control Managers, gaining practical experience across a range of finance activities. You'll develop valuable commercial and analytical skills while supporting a business that's helping drive the transition towards An Electric Britain.

What You'll Experience

Being part of Hinkley Point C means helping to shape the future of low-carbon energy. You'll contribute to a project that will provide clean electricity for millions of homes while supporting the UK's energy security.

During your Finance MEH (Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC) Industrial Placement, you'll gain experience across a broad range of finance activities. You'll support financial reporting, management information and budgeting processes, while working closely with colleagues across the business to understand how finance supports operational and strategic decision-making.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute to real projects from day one, build your confidence in a professional environment and develop the commercial awareness, analytical capability and practical experience that will support your future career in finance.

Your Work Location

You'll be based at the Somerset Innovation Centre in #Bridgwater. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you'll be part of a collaborative team environment where you'll gain exposure to key business activities and develop your professional network.

Who You Are

To join this EDF Industrial Placement, you'll need to be studying towards, or have achieved, a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics or a closely related discipline. You'll have strong analytical skills, enjoy working with data and be keen to develop your commercial understanding within a large and complex organisation.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a starting salary of £26,050 per annum and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

The numbers game

More applications. More interviews.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
