Business Analyst II

Are you a strategic planner and problem-solver?

Are you looking to develop your Data Analyst career?

About the Team:

Mercury is RX’s global registration and eCommerce platform, supporting the journeys that bring visitors and exhibitors into our events. Its capabilities span registration, purchasing, badging and onsite access, connecting customer experiences with the data and business systems behind them. We work across Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Product Success and regional business teams to deliver reliable services, improve customer experiences and create measurable business value.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Business Analyst with a strong focus on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to bridge product delivery and business validation. You’ll coordinate testing, help business users evaluate new features, manage feedback, and communicate releases in clear, accessible language. The focus is hands-on business acceptance and coordination—not software development or test automation engineering.

Responsibilities (What you’ll do)

Plan and coordinate business acceptance testing

  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand desired outcomes, user journeys, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Turn requirements into practical, risk-based UAT scenarios covering standard journeys, exceptions, and relevant regional variations.
  • Coordinate testing scope and schedules, providing participants with clear instructions, test-event links, and prerequisites.
  • Work with engineering, QA, and configuration teams to ensure environments, test data, and configurations are ready before testing.
  • Perform hands-on business validation and help users investigate and reproduce unexpected results.

Manage feedback, defects, and acceptance evidence

  • Maintain a consolidated record of business feedback and communicate test completion, outstanding observations, and potential enhancements.
  • Separate defects from configuration issues, clarification requests, and enhancement ideas, working with product and technical teams to agree next steps.
  • Document reproducible issues, including expected and actual results, supporting evidence, and business impact, and coordinate retesting after fixes.
  • Report progress, coverage, blockers, and residual risks so decision-makers can clearly assess readiness.
  • Coordinate acceptance evidence and follow-up while keeping approval and validation accountability with the relevant Business Units.

Support release communication and continuous improvement

  • Prepare business-facing release updates that explain what changed, why it matters, and any relevant limitations or actions.
  • Keep testing guidance, feedback records, and supporting documentation accessible to global stakeholders.
  • Create reusable scenarios and checklists to improve consistency and reduce repeated effort across releases.
  • Apply lessons from UAT and production issues to strengthen future acceptance coverage and identify gaps earlier.
  • Collaborate across regions and time zones, keeping dependencies, decisions, and ownership clear.

Requirements (What you’ll bring)

  • Practical experience in UAT, business analysis, functional testing, or a similar role supporting user-facing digital products.
  • Experience translating requirements and business processes into clear acceptance criteria and end-to-end test scenarios.
  • Ability to organize testing with business users, balance competing priorities, and follow issues through to documented outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to explain business impact as well as technical symptoms.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing user guidance, test summaries, and release updates.
  • Experience with issue-tracking and collaborative documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence, or equivalents.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery and the differences between engineering QA, business acceptance, and release approval.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a distributed team.

Useful, but not essential, skills

  • Experience with event registration, ticketing, eCommerce, or other transaction-based customer journeys.
  • Familiarity with payments, invoicing, discounts, upgrades, entitlements, or integrations between customer-facing and back-office systems.
  • Exposure to onsite operational tools, badge management, or access-control workflows.
  • Awareness of accessibility, localization, and data-quality considerations in business acceptance testing.
  • Experience with test-management tools, basic data queries, or API-testing tools to support investigations.

What success looks like

  • Business users know what to test, how to participate, and where to provide feedback.
  • Critical business journeys have clear acceptance coverage and traceable results.
  • Defects and feedback are actionable, assigned, and followed through, with unresolved risks visible before release decisions.
  • Business approvers receive concise evidence to support acceptance decisions.
  • Release communications clearly explain changes and limitations, helping teams prepare for adoption.
  • Reusable guidance and lessons learned make each testing cycle more effective.

Why join us?

Help shape digital experiences that connect online registration with the live event experience. You’ll work across product, technology, and business operations, building domain knowledge while improving how changes are validated and communicated. RX values collaboration, inclusion, curiosity, and learning, with opportunities to contribute across a global network.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
