Voor een onderzoeksomgeving rond aardobservatie en grootschalige dataplatformen zoeken we een DevOps Engineer die mee bouwt aan een betrouwbare, veilige en schaalbare infrastructuur. De werking situeert zich in data-distributie, on-demand beeldverwerking en Big Data analytics op datasets die snel groeien van terabytes naar petabytes.

Je ondersteunt DevOps- en projectgerelateerde vraagstukken en neemt samen met het team verantwoordelijkheid op voor de operationele infrastructuur. Je behandelt tickets vanuit interne projecten, met aandacht voor configuration as code en infrastructure as code. Daarnaast verzorg je de uitrol en ondersteuning van nieuwe componenten binnen de softwarestack en in publieke cloudomgevingen.

Je analyseert complexe incidenten via monitoring, logging en metrics, en werkt voorstellen uit om de efficiëntie en stabiliteit van de omgeving te verbeteren. Op termijn neem je ownership op van specifieke componenten. Bij blokkerende problemen zorg je voor een correcte interne of externe escalatie. Verder implementeer je security best practices over de volledige infrastructuur en werk je nauw samen met architecten en engineers.

De infrastructuur omvat onder meer Linux-native omgevingen zoals CentOS, RedHat en Alma Linux, virtualisatie- en cloudplatformen zoals AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, VMware en OpenStack, en CI/CD- en automation tooling zoals Terraform, ArgoCD, Jenkins en Packer. Ervaring met migratietrajecten, Kubernetes en het schrijven van Helm charts is hierbij belangrijk.

📝 Jouw profiel

  • Je hebt een masterdiploma in Applied IT, Industriële Wetenschappen, IT of een gelijkwaardige achtergrond.
  • Je hebt ervaring in Agile- en/of DevOps-omgevingen.
  • Je hebt een sterke achtergrond in ICT-infrastructuuroplossingen.
  • Je bent vertrouwd met Linux-native omgevingen zoals CentOS, RedHat en Alma Linux.
  • Je hebt ervaring met cloudtoepassingen en virtualisatie, bijvoorbeeld AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, VMware of OpenStack.
  • Je hebt ervaring met CI/CD-tooling, configuratie- en automatiseringsframeworks zoals Terraform, ArgoCD, Jenkins en Packer.
  • Je hebt ervaring in Kubernetes-omgevingen, en het schrijven van Helm charts is een must.
  • Je past cybersecurity best practices toe in cloudomgevingen.
  • Ervaring met migratietrajecten is een plus.
  • Kennis van gedistribueerde processing, bijvoorbeeld Apache Spark of Dask, is een plus.
  • Ervaring met Python en Golang is een meerwaarde.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en Engels.
  • Je werkt analytisch, stelt prioriteiten en behoudt overzicht in een omgeving waarin noden en context evolueren.
  • Je bent proactief, servicegericht, goed georganiseerd en werkt graag samen met anderen.
