The posting

Group Monument wil artificiële intelligentie structureel, veilig en doelgericht inzetten ter ondersteuning en optimalisatie van bedrijfsprocessen. AI wordt hierbij gezien als een strategisch hulpmiddel, met aandacht voor governance, kwaliteit, veiligheid en adoptie door medewerkers.

Als AI Engineer bouw je actief mee aan dit verhaal. Je bent een technische doener en zet ideeën om in slimme, werkende oplossingen die processen vooruithelpen en collega’s sterker maken in hun werk.

Jouw functie:

  • Je programmeert en bouwt zelf AI-oplossingen. Je schrijft code, werkt met API’s, data en automatiseringen, en onderzoekt hoe systemen en toepassingen slim met elkaar kunnen samenwerken. Dit vertaal je naar een doordachte technische en functionele uitwerking, met gerichte prompts, beslislogica, AI-agents en workflows.
  • Samen met de Quality Manager en de proceseigenaars identificeer je relevante AI-use-cases binnen uiteenlopende domeinen (van calculatie, uitvoering, ateliers, kwaliteit en veiligheid tot administratie, IT, HR en finance en zet je de noden om in concrete technische oplossingen.
  • Je werkt proof-of-concepts en pilots uit, test ze in de praktijk en brengt succesvolle oplossingen stabiel naar de werkvloer. Daarbij documenteer je de technische keuzes, architectuur en configuraties.
  • Je zorgt ervoor dat AI-oplossingen goed geïntegreerd worden binnen de bestaande IT-omgeving, met aandacht voor security, databeschikbaarheid en een vlotte werking. Tegelijk bewaak je governance en kwaliteit: je helpt richtlijnen uitwerken voor verantwoord AI-gebruik en zorgt ervoor dat de toepassingen aansluiten bij bestaande processen en auditvereisten.
  • Je brengt AI actief dichter bij de organisatie. Je verhoogt het AI-bewustzijn, helpt de AI-maturiteit van Group Monument groeien en vertaalt ambities en noden naar een concreet opleidingsplan. Je begeleidt medewerkers in het veilig, correct en verantwoord gebruik van AI-toepassingen en gebruikt feedback en resultaten om oplossingen continu te verbeteren.
  • Je bent een bachelor of master in IT, Engineering of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Je kan zelf programmeren en hebt aantoonbare, hands-on ervaring met het ontwikkelen, bouwen en implementeren van toepassingen (van concept tot werkende oplossing). Je analyseert zelfstandig technische vraagstukken, werkt oplossingen uit en bouwt ze ook effectief zelf.
  • Je hebt ervaring met het opzetten en implementeren van AI-oplossingen, of je kan aantonen dat je snel en zelfstandig nieuwe AI-technologieën in de praktijk toepast.
  • Je hebt goede kennis van: generatieve AI, LLM’s en de belangrijkste concepten errond datamodellen en databronnen; automatisering en integraties, zoals low‑codeplatformen en workflowtools.
  • Je hebt inzicht in AI‑risico’s, GDPR, informatiebeveiliging en verantwoord gebruik van AI.
  • Kennis van of affiniteit met de EU AI Act en AI‑governance is een plus.
  • Ervaring met Microsoft 365, cloudplatformen of bedrijfsapplicaties is een plus.
  • Je bent communicatief sterk en kan technische oplossingen helder uitleggen aan niet‑technische collega’s.
  • Je werkt zelfstandig, kritisch en verantwoordelijk. Integriteit en discretie zijn vanzelfsprekend.
  • Je bent Nederlandstalig, maar spreekt ook vlot Frans.
  • Je uitvalsbasis is ons kantoor in Zottegem en je maakt deel uit van het IT-team.
