Dit van oorsprong Belgische familiebedrijf is in de loop der decennia uitgegroeid tot een beursgenoteerde, internationale groep met een sterke reputatie wereldwijd. Vandaag telt de organisatie bijna 3.000 medewerkers en realiseert ze een omzet van circa 900 miljoen euro.

Ter ondersteuning van de verdere groei zijn zij voor de Belgische productiesites, met het hoofdkantoor in regio Gent als uitvalsbasis, op zoek naar een Automation Engineer met gezonde ambitie die graag carrière wil maken binnen een succesvolle internationale organisatie.

Jouw taken:

· Verantwoordelijk voor de realisatie en opvolging van automatiseringsprojecten (Greenfield- en Brownfieldprojecten) binnen de Belgische productiesites, met als doel deze verder uit te bouwen tot fabrieken van de toekomst.

· Je werkt nauw samen met productie, technische dienst, IT, R&D en externe partners om innovatieve en toekomstgerichte technische oplossingen succesvol te ontwerpen en uit te rollen.

· Ontwikkelen en implementeren van standaarden op vlak van automatisatie, industriële netwerken en cybersecurity binnen de productieomgevingen.

· Actief bijdragen aan de digitalisering van productielijnen via onder meer betrouwbare datacollectie, industriële dataplatformen en de integratie van operationele data voor monitoring, kwaliteitsopvolging en optimalisatie.

· Je volgt nieuwe technologische ontwikkelingen op de voet, bouwt je expertise rond automatiseringssystemen en industriële data verder uit en deelt deze kennis actief binnen het engineeringteam en met de technische afdelingen van de verschillende fabrieken.

· Rapporteren over de voortgang en resultaten aan de engineering manager.

· Master industrieel ingenieur of burgerlijk ingenieur elektromechanica, automatisatie, Elektronica-ICT of een gelijkaardige technische opleiding.

· Minimum 4 jaar relevante werkervaring als automation engineer binnen een productie- of industriële omgeving.

· Je hebt een goede kennis van PLC-systemen (Siemens, Rockwell) en OT-systemen (MES).

· Je beschikt over een sterk analytisch vermogen en bent proactief en oplossingsgericht.

· Je bent een enthousiaste teamspeler die graag initiatief neemt, kennis deelt en zich voortdurend verder wil ontwikkelen.

· Je communiceert vlot en helder op verschillende niveaus en met uiteenlopende stakeholders.
