The posting

Voor een internationaal en groeiend bedrijf in Maasmechelen zijn we op zoek naar een Customs & Trade Specialist (m/v/x).

In deze veelzijdige functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor het coördineren en optimaliseren van de douane- en trade compliance processen rond import, export, transit en bonded warehousing.

Je komt terecht in een internationale omgeving waar kwaliteit, efficiëntie en continue verbetering centraal staan.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Als Customs & Trade Specialist sta je in voor het volledige proces rond douaneformaliteiten en -procedures. Je takenpakket omvat onder andere:

  • Je beheert en optimaliseert het bonded warehouse en zorgt ervoor dat de bijhorende processen correct verlopen;
  • Je controleert en verbetert het customs ERP-systeem en waakt over een correcte verwerking van import- en exporttransacties;
  • Je beheert en actualiseert douanevergunningen en certificeringen, waaronder vereenvoudigde procedures en AEO;
  • Je voert interne douane-audits uit en volgt het AEO-controleprogramma op;
  • Je identificeert mogelijkheden om invoerrechten te optimaliseren;
  • Je bepaalt en onderhoudt de correcte douaneclassificatie van producten;
  • Je volgt het proces rond country of origin op;
  • Je staat in voor periodieke rapporteringen en budgetopvolging met betrekking tot douane, btw en goederenstromen;
  • Je beheert de volledige voorraad vanuit douaneperspectief, waaronder bonded, free en IPR-producten;
  • Je waakt over correcte import- en exportaangiftes en de juiste berekening van douane-, statistische en btw-waarde;
  • Je bent een belangrijk aanspreekpunt voor douaneautoriteiten en behandelt douane-gerelateerde vragen als interne specialist;
  • Je volgt de vrijgave van douanedocumenten op in samenwerking met klanten, transportpartners, expediteurs en douane-entiteiten;
  • Je volgt wijzigingen in de douane- en trade compliance wetgeving op en vertaalt deze naar interne processen en procedures;
  • Je werkt dagelijks samen met verschillende interne en externe stakeholders binnen de EMEA-regio.

Jouw profiel

  • Je beschikt over een bachelordiploma, bij voorkeur in Logistiek Management, of bent gelijkwaardig door ervaring;
  • Je hebt een sterke kennis van douaneformaliteiten, import & export, Incoterms, btw en logistieke processen;
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van voorraadbeheer en import- en exportdocumentatie;
  • Je bent vertrouwd met douanewaardebepaling en de berekening van statistische en btw-waarde;
  • Je hebt een zeer goede kennis van Nederlands en Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk;
  • Een goede kennis van andere talen is een pluspunt;
  • Je werkt vlot met Microsoft Office en hebt bij voorkeur een sterke kennis van Excel;
  • Je bent analytisch, nauwkeurig en georganiseerd en weet de juiste prioriteiten te stellen;
  • Je bent stressbestendig en behoudt ook in een dynamische omgeving het overzicht;
  • Je communiceert vlot en assertief en werkt graag samen met verschillende stakeholders;
  • Je hebt een hands-on can-do mentaliteit en neemt graag initiatief om processen te verbeteren.
