Am Institut für Volkswirtschaftslehre ist die Stelle eines*einer Data Engineer*in im Beschäftigungsausmaß von 17 h Stunden zu besetzen.

Ihre Aufgaben:

º Datenaufbereitung & -transformation: Sie konzipieren und implementieren ETL-Prozesse zur Aufbereitung

komplexer Datensätze für ökonometrische Analysen in Forschungsfeldern wie Gesundheitsökonomie,

Arbeitsmarktökonomie und E-Commerce

º Datenmanagement: Sie sind verantwortlich für die Pflege, Validierung und Dokumentation von umfangreichen

Register- und Unternehmensdaten, die von verschiedenen Datenlieferant*innen stammen

º High-Performance Computing (HPC): Sie nutzen die Großrechnerressourcen der JKU zur Verarbeitung und

Analyse von Big Data und optimieren bestehende Datenpipelines für maximale Effizienz

º Unterstützung der Forschung: Sie unterstützen das wissenschaftliche Personal aktiv bei datentechnischen

Herausforderungen und der Entwicklung von reproduzierbaren Analyse-Workflows

Ihr Profil:

º Einschlägige Vorbildung: Ein laufendes oder abgeschlossenes Studium (z.B. Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik,

Statistik, Data Science, AI, Wirtschaftswissenschaften) oder eine abgeschlossene HTL mit Informatik-Schwerpunkt

ist von Vorteil

º Exzellente Kenntnisse in Python

º Solide Erfahrung im Umgang mit Linux/Unix-Umgebungen

º Solide Kenntnisse in Stata und/oder R

º Erfahrungen mit Big Data und anderen Programmiersprachen sind von Vorteil

º Erfahrung mit gängigen Methoden der Datenanalyse (z.B. statistische Modellierung, grundlegendes Machine

Learning, Datenvisualisierung) sind von Vorteil

º Eine analytische, lösungsorientierte und selbstständige Arbeitsweise sowie die Fähigkeit, effektiv im Team zu

kommunizieren

º Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse (Deutsch Niveau C1, Englisch Niveau B2)
