The posting

Een sterke forecast vormt de basis voor een efficiënte productie- en supply chainplanning. Voor een internationale textielproducent met een uitgebreid en gevarieerd productgamma zoeken we daarom een Demand Forecasting Specialist die mee zorgt voor een betrouwbare inschatting van de toekomstige vraag.

Je werkt met grote hoeveelheden data en verschillende informatiebronnen en zet deze om in forecasts die gebruikt worden voor de verdere planning. Daarbij bewaak je niet alleen de nauwkeurigheid van de voorspellingen, maar ga je ook op zoek naar trends, afwijkingen en mogelijkheden om de forecastingaanpak verder te verbeteren.

Hoe zal jouw takenpakket eruitzien?

  • Je maakt de demand forecasts op voor verschillende productfamilies, klanten en productiesites.
  • Je verwerkt verkoopresultaten, historische gegevens, marktontwikkelingen en commerciële input in de planning.
  • Je volgt de kwaliteit van de forecasts op aan de hand van forecast accuracy, bias en vraagvolatiliteit.
  • Je onderzoekt afwijkingen tussen de voorspelde en werkelijke vraag en vertaalt deze analyses naar concrete verbeteringen.
  • Je werkt mee aan rapportages en KPI's die de kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid van de planning inzichtelijk maken.
  • Je ondersteunt de verdere segmentatie van de vraag volgens make-to-stock, make-to-order en projectmatige activiteiten.
  • Je overlegt met Sales, Customer Service, Supply Planning, Operations en Finance om verschillende inzichten te verwerken in één consistente forecast.
  • Je denkt mee over nieuwe werkwijzen en helpt de forecastingprocessen verder professionaliseren.

Wat verwachten wij van jou?

  • Je hebt minstens 5 jaar ervaring in demand planning, forecasting of een gelijkaardige functie.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van forecasting en demand planning binnen een productieomgeving.
  • Je bent vertrouwd met grote datasets, veel SKU's en vraagpatronen die regelmatig veranderen.
  • Je hebt ervaring met SAP, bij voorkeur SAP S/4HANA.
  • Je bent analytisch sterk en krijgt energie van het zoeken naar verklaringen achter cijfers.
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig, maar verliest daarbij het grotere plaatje niet uit het oog.
  • Je kunt analyses helder toelichten en werkt vlot samen met verschillende afdelingen.
  • Je bent kritisch ingesteld en durft bestaande cijfers, forecasts en aannames in vraag te stellen.
