Koordirigenten zijn de muzikale professionals die koren leiden, zangers inspireren en verantwoordelijk zijn voor de artistieke kwaliteit van een productie. Toch staan dirigenten er bij onderhandelingen met besturen, verenigingen en organisaties vaak alleen voor. Koordirigenten Belangen Nederland (KBN) komt op voor de positie en belangen van koordirigenten. Of je nu professioneel bent opgeleid, autodidact bent of nog studeert: iedere koordirigent kan zich aansluiten. Waar staan wij voor? Wij zetten ons in voor: - eerlijke en passende honoraria voor koordirigenten; - duidelijke en professionele arbeids- en opdrachtovereenkomsten; - goede afspraken over repetities, concerten, voorbereiding en bijkomende werkzaamheden; - een professionele behandeling van dirigenten door besturen en organisaties; - betere arbeidsvoorwaarden en rechtspositie; - erkenning van het dirigentschap als professioneel vak; - kennis en informatie over auteursrecht, belastingen, verzekeringen en ondernemerschap; - een sterke positie van koordirigenten bij onderhandelingen over hun werkzaamheden. Belangenbehartiging Wanneer je als dirigent een probleem hebt met een bestuur, een contract, een honorarium of andere zakelijke kwestie, hoef je er niet alleen voor te staan. KBN biedt advies en ondersteuning en kan, waar mogelijk, namens of samen met de dirigent naar een oplossing zoeken.
