Als engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen en engineeren van werktuigbouwkundige installaties in utiliteitsprojecten. Je werkt aan uiteenlopende gebouwen, van scholen tot prestigieuze commerciële panden, en je bent betrokken vanaf de eerste adviesfase tot aan de oplevering. Je denkt mee met de klant, vertaalt wensen naar technische oplossingen en zorgt dat ontwerpen niet alleen voldoen aan de eisen, maar ook praktisch en duurzaam zijn. Je stemt nauw af met collega's uit andere disciplines, zoals elektrotechniek en projectleiding, en je hebt direct contact met opdrachtgevers en adviseurs. Jouw inbreng bepaalt mede de richting van een project, en je krijgt de ruimte om zelfstandig keuzes te maken binnen de kaders van budget, planning en duurzaamheid. Je houdt rekening met externe factoren zoals netcongestie en zorgt dat investeringen in duurzame oplossingen optimaal worden benut. Concreet houd je je bezig met: - Het ontwerpen en engineeren van werktuigbouwkundige installaties voor utiliteitsprojecten; - Het adviseren van opdrachtgevers over technische mogelijkheden en duurzame oplossingen; - Het maken van berekeningen, tekeningen en technische specificaties; - Het afstemmen met collega-engineers, projectleiders en externe adviseurs; - Het bewaken van kwaliteit, budget en planning binnen jouw projecten; - Het vertalen van klantwensen naar haalbare en toekomstbestendige installaties; - Het meedenken over innovatieve en slimme oplossingen die verder gaan dan de standaard.

Doorgroeimogelijkheden zijn er zeker. Afhankelijk van jouw ambities kun je doorgroeien naar een rol als lead engineer, waarbij je meer verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor complexe projecten en het aansturen van collega's. Ook is er ruimte om je verder te specialiseren in duurzame technieken of specifieke installatietypen.
