The posting

Als fiber technieker ben je verantwoordelijk voor het installeren en aansluiten van glasvezelkabels bij bedrijven. Je monteert en werkt glasvezelaansluitingen af (FTTH/FTTB), last glasvezelkabels en voert metingen uit met OTDR en powermeter. Storingen opsporen en verhelpen hoort ook bij je dagelijkse taken.

Een typische dag start om 8u op de werkplek, waar je samen met je collega’s de planning overloopt en je materiaal checkt. Je werkt tot 16u of 16u30 aan verschillende projecten in de regio, tot 60 à 70 km van je woonplaats. Je installeert verdeelkasten, patchpanelen en netwerkcomponenten, leest technische plannen en rapporteert je werk via tablet of smartphone. Klantcontact is ook belangrijk: je informeert bedrijven over het verloop van de installatie.

  • Technisch inzicht en basiskennis elektriciteit of telecom
  • Je hebt minstens hoger secundair onderwijs
  • Je kan technische plannen lezen en interpreteren
  • Je werkt zelfstandig, nauwkeurig en hebt een probleemoplossend vermogen
  • Rijbewijs B is verplicht
  • Goede kennis van het Nederlands, bijkomende talen (Frans/Engels) zijn een plus
  • Fysiek in staat om buiten te werken, op hoogte en in verschillende weersomstandigheden
  • Klantvriendelijke en professionele houding
  • Ervaring als fiber-, telecom- of elektricienstechnieker is een sterke troef, maar geen must
  • Bereidheid om te leren en certificaten te behalen
  • Certificaten VCA, BA4/BA5 of hoogtewerker zijn pluspunten
  • Ervaring met FTTH-, FTTO- of backboneprojecten is een meerwaarde
