Bouw mee aan de technologie achter duizenden events

Een event lijkt misschien simpel aan de voorkant. Een ticket kopen, een QR-code scannen, binnenkomen en genieten. Achter de schermen gebeurt er heel wat meer.

Bij EventSquare bouwen we al 15 jaar aan de technologie die die hele reis mogelijk maakt. Vanaf het moment waarop iemand een ticket koopt tot aan de toegangscontrole bij de ingang. Vandaag vertrouwen meer dan 10.000 organisatoren op ons platform, van kleine vzw’s tot grote festivals.

Daar kunnen we best trots op zijn. Maar we blijven vooral graag dingen beter maken.

Daarom zoeken we een Full Stack Developer die mee wil bouwen aan een platform dat elke dag gebruikt wordt door echte mensen, voor echte events.

Jouw rol

Je komt terecht in een klein en hecht team. Geen lagen van management of eindeloze meetings, maar korte lijnen en veel ruimte om zelf mee te denken.

Je werkt aan het hart van ons platform: de interfaces waarmee organisatoren werken, de API’s die alles met elkaar verbinden en de applicaties en infrastructuur die ervoor zorgen dat alles blijft draaien.

En het fijne daaraan? Je hoeft niet maanden te wachten om te zien wat je gebouwd hebt. Je werk komt rechtstreeks bij onze klanten terecht.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Onze UI’s in React en TypeScript ontwerpen, bouwen en verbeteren
  • Onze REST API verder uitbouwen en onderhouden, het fundament onder onze applicaties
  • PHP- en Node.js-micro-applicaties bouwen en onderhouden
  • Meedenken over hoe we ons platform eenvoudiger, stabieler en prettiger in gebruik kunnen maken
  • Samen met het team problemen oplossen voordat ze problemen worden
  • Je technische kennis delen en mee nadenken over de keuzes die we maken

Wie zoeken we?

We zoeken geen wandelende checklist. We zoeken iemand die graag goede software maakt en er voldoening uit haalt wanneer alles gewoon werkt.

  • je hebt minstens 2 jaar professionele ervaring met React
  • kent TypeScript of bent bereid er snel mee aan de slag te gaan
  • hebt ervaring met PHP (Laravel en/of Symfony), MySQL en eventueel Node.js
  • hebt oog voor goede UI en UX. Mooie code is belangrijk, maar een interface waar mensen graag mee werken minstens evenveel
  • denkt graag mee over het probleem achter de vraag, niet alleen over de technische oplossing
  • kan zelfstandig werken, neemt initiatief en weet wanneer het tijd is om even samen te sparren
  • voelt je comfortabel met Git en package managers zoals NPM, Composer of Yarn
  • houdt het hoofd koel wanneer het even hectisch wordt, events wachten tenslotte ook niet
  • hebt geen specifiek diploma nodig. We kijken liever naar wat je kan en hoe je denkt.

Mooi meegenomen, maar geen must

  • Ervaring met Docker en eventueel Kubernetes
  • Je vindt vlot je weg in Figma
  • Ervaring in de eventsector
