Als Full Stack Software Developer zal je instaan voor de ontwikkeling van innovatieve applicaties en websites. Daarnaast zorg je ook voor de optimalisatie en het onderhoud van bestaande applicaties. Dankzij jouw ervaring bouw je veilige, performante websites met uiteraard ook de nodige aandacht voor responsiveness en user experience. Je deelt je kennis en ervaringen met andere software engineers om de bestaande processen kritisch te bekijken maar ook om anderen te laten groeien. Je krijgt bij VAB veel vrijheid om zelf mee aan het roer te staan en mee te sturen in de keuzes die gemaakt worden tijdens het ontwikkelingsproces. Je kan oplossingsgericht denken en je bent leergierig. Je durft ook oplossingen in vraag stellen en doet tegenvoorstellen. Verschillende uitdagende projecten liggen op jou te wachten. Wat ga je doen?

  • Je beschikt over het vermogen om complexe opdrachten te analyseren en daaruit passende oplossingen te bedenken en te implementeren.
  • Je hebt de vaardigheden om softwarebugs te identificeren, op te sporen en op te lossen dit om de algehele stabiliteit van de applicatie te verbeteren.
  • Je beschikt over sterke communicatieve vaardigheden waardoor je naadloos kan samenwerken met de verschillende teamleden waaronder analisten, testers en andere software engineers.
  • Je kan in dialoog gaan met de eindgebruiker om tot betere oplossingen te komen of om de gekende problemen beter te begrijpen.
  • Samen met je collega’s neem je deel aan onze Community of practice waar jullie samen nadenken over best practices en design guidelines. Zo bouw je mee aan een mature en efficiënte IT-organisatie.
  • Je volgt de trends en evoluties op betreffende de technologieën in je domein.
  • Je houdt rekening met de afgesproken standaarden zodat je code onderhoudbaar is en blijft, ook voor de andere software engineers.
  • Je kan je houden aan de afgesproken timing door voor jezelf duidelijke prioriteiten te stellen en door efficiënt te werken.
  • Je houdt ook rekening met de non-functionals waaronder secure coding principles, performantie, monitoring, data integriteit en schaalbaarheid van de gebouwde applicatie.
  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van de releases.
  • Je bent bereid om ook in legacy code te werken, deze te begrijpen, documenteren en gefaseerd te moderniseren.

Wat breng je mee?

  • Je bent in het bezit van een Bachelor/Master diploma Informatica of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Je hebt al een aantal jaren ervaring als full stack developer.
  • Je hebt een grondige kennis van C# en .NET
  • Ervaring met front-end technologieën zoals Angular, Javascript (typescript), CSS is een must.
  • Databases zijn voor jou geen onbekende.
  • Je weet hoe je integraties kan opzetten met andere applicaties via Rest API.
  • Kennis van MVC en Devops pipelines is een pluspunt.
  • Interesse om ook aan de slag te gaan met Sitecore ontwikkeling (CMS), Outsystems (low code) of het Customer Engagement platform van Microsoft? Dan heb je zeker een streepje voor! Veel variatie en afwisseling mogelijk binnen onze afdeling!
