Je maakt deel uit van de dienst “pijler Ontradende Aanwezigheid” van het departement Preventie.

OPDRACHT

In het kader van de wet van 15 mei 2007 ben je belast met preventieopdrachten met als doel het veiligheidsgevoel bij de burgers te verhogen en openbare overlast, onburgerlijk gedrag en criminaliteit op het grondgebied van de gemeente te voorkomen. Jouw aanwezigheid in de openbare ruimte werkt geruststellend en is bevorderlijk voor de gezelligheid. Je observeert, constateert en maakt alle nuttige inlichtingen over aan de bevoegde diensten of personen met als doel ieders levenskwaliteit te verbeteren.

TAKEN

  • Patrouilleren in de openbare ruimte en op het bovengrondse openbaar vervoersnet.
  • Zorgen voor een ontradende aanwezigheid om conflicten tussen personen te voorkomen, met inbegrip van niet-gewelddadige tussenkomsten bij verbale conflicten in de openbare ruimte die niet tot dwangmaatregelen nopen.
  • Veiligheids-, milieu- en wegproblemen melden bij de bevoegde diensten (coördinatiepool van de gemeenschapswachten, gemeentediensten, politiediensten enz.).
  • Instaan voor de veiligheid van overstekende kinderen, scholieren, gehandicapte personen of senioren in de omgeving van de scholen.
  • Verzekeren van het toezicht tijdens evenementen (mede) georganiseerd door de overheid.
  • De burger sensibiliseren voor de preventie van risicovol gedrag.
  • Informeren en/of doorverwijzen van de burgers in functie van hun vragen.
  • Toezien op de naleving van de geldende gemeentelijke reglementen op de openbare ruimte en herinneren aan de geldende regels om onburgerlijk gedrag en misdrijven te voorkomen.
  • Vaststellen van overtredingen van het algemeen politiereglement (overlast en stilstaan/parkeren).

TOEGANGSVOORWAARDEN

  • In het bezit zijn van het GHSO (niv. C)
  • Een uittreksel uit het strafregister dat voldoet aan de vereisten van de wet van 15 mei 2007 kunnen voorleggen: Uittreksel uit het strafregister model 596.1-16 voor de functie gemeenschapswacht: Niet veroordeeld zijn - zelfs niet met uitstel - tot een correctionele of strafrechtelijke sanctie bestaande uit een geldboete, een werk- of gevangenisstraf, behoudens veroordelingen wegens inbreuken van de wetgeving betreffende de politie over het wegverkeer.
