Heb jij het leiderschap, de expertise en het initiatief om een klein, toegewijd transportteam aan te sturen?

Als Head of Transport (M/V/X) geef je het goede voorbeeld door actief mee te draaien in de dagelijkse transportoperaties én door met een strategische blik te sturen op efficiëntie en kwaliteit. Samen met drie collega's coördineer je zo'n 1.200 bulk transportbewegingen per maand (weg, container en water) en zorg je voor vlekkeloze, wettelijk conforme en kostenbewuste processen.

Jouw taken

  • Je leidt het transportteam en neemt zelf actief deel aan de dagelijkse werkzaamheden, waarbij je de standaard zet.
  • Je staat garant voor effectieve en efficiënte transportoplossingen voor alle commerciële deals, met een goede balans tussen strategie en hands-on meewerken.
  • Je blijft expert in (afval)transportwetgeving en houdt de juridische ontwikkelingen nauwlettend bij.
  • Je beheert transportkosten en onderhandelt tarieven voor bestaande en nieuwe routes.
  • Je waarborgt de naleving van hoge kwaliteitsnormen, beleidslijnen en procedures.
  • Je stuwt procesoptimalisatie en automatisering en bevordert continue verbetering.
  • Je onderhoudt nauw contact met interne en externe stakeholders en bouwt duurzame relaties uit.
  • Je ondersteunt teamontwikkeling via coaching, training en begeleiding, zodat alle collega's kunnen groeien en excelleren.
  • Je deelt relevante marktinformatie binnen het team om samen sterker te presteren.
  • Je rapporteert belangrijke KPI's, inzichten en operationele updates aan de group finance & administration manager.

Jouw profiel

  • Masterdiploma of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Minimaal 10 jaar ervaring in een internationale transportomgeving.
  • Diepgaande kennis van zowel weg- als watertransport en specialist in relevante afvalwetgeving.
  • Ervaring in het leiden van een klein team en het ontwikkelen van mensen.
  • Actiegerichte, resultaatgedreven houding; je steekt graag de handen uit de mouwen.
  • Een echte beller: de telefoon is jouw favoriete communicatiemiddel.
  • Je neemt eigenaarschap, denkt vernieuwend en werkt met een groeimindset.
  • Teamspeler met sterk organisatorisch en planningsvermogen, ook onder druk.
  • Je past bij onze kernwaarden: baanbrekend, stimulerend, faciliterend en integer.
  • Je communiceert vlot in Nederlands en/of Engels, en hebt een goede kennis van Frans en Duits.
  • Vlot in MS Office en handig met ERP-systemen.
