Delhi Darbaar Indiaas Restaurant in Hilversum is looking for an experienced and motivated Indian Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

We are an authentic Indian restaurant offering traditional Indian cuisine, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, curries, tandoori dishes, naan, rice dishes, Indian starters and street food. We also offer Indo-Chinese dishes and catering for private parties and events.

As our Chef, you will be responsible for the daily preparation and cooking of food for our dine-in and takeaway customers. You will work closely with the restaurant owner and kitchen team to maintain the quality, taste and presentation of our dishes.

Your responsibilities Preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes according to our recipes and quality standards. Preparing vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Preparing curries, tandoori dishes, naan, rice, starters and Indian street food. Preparing ingredients and mise en place before service. Ensuring consistent taste, quality and portion sizes. Preparing food efficiently during busy restaurant and takeaway services. Preparing larger quantities of food for catering and private events when required. Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen. Following HACCP, food-safety and hygiene procedures. Proper storage and handling of food and ingredients. Monitoring stock and informing management when ingredients need to be ordered. Minimising food waste. Working as part of a small, professional restaurant team. Assisting with kitchen cleaning and closing duties when required.
