- Vacature Lead Mechanical Engineer - 36-40 uur Je bent goed in je vak. Misschien zelfs zo goed dat collega's je nu al opzoeken als een ontwerp vastloopt, een planning schuift of er technisch een knoop moet worden doorgehakt. Alleen merk je dat je méér wilt. Je wilt engineers beter laten worden, keuzes durven veranderen en invloed hebben op hoe Engineering zich ontwikkelt. Zonder de techniek los te laten. Bij Hytrans krijg je precies die positie: je geeft richting aan drie Mechanical Engineers én bouwt mee aan systemen waarop hulpverleners wereldwijd moeten kunnen vertrouwen als iedere seconde telt. Jouw rol in de toekomst van Hytrans Al meer dan 60 jaar wordt in Lemmer gebouwd aan techniek die water in beweging brengt. Wat in 1964 begon met expertise in hydraulische aandrijvingen, groeide uit tot Hytrans: specialist in mobiele watertransportsystemen. Inmiddels zijn meer dan 1.300 systemen wereldwijd geïnstalleerd en werkt Hytrans met een internationaal netwerk van ruim 40 distributeurs. Werken aan techniek die ertoe doet De systemen van Hytrans worden ingezet op momenten waarop betrouwbaarheid cruciaal is. Bij een grote brand, overstroming of andere calamiteit moeten hulpdiensten snel enorme hoeveelheden water kunnen verplaatsen. Zo werd Hytrans-technologie ingezet bij de grote reddingsoperatie in Thailand, na de ramp bij Fukushima in Japan en recent bij een grote datacenterbrand in Almere. Soms krijgt engineering pas duizenden kilometers verderop zijn echte betekenis. Toen Frankrijk onlangs werd geteisterd door natuurbranden, stuurde Hytrans twee HydroSub-units, een HoseLayerContainer en 4.000 meter slang naar het rampgebied. Techniek uit Lemmer waarmee hulpdiensten het water konden krijgen op de plekken waar het op dat moment het hardst nodig was.
