Als Lead R&D Engineer Machinebouw bepaal je de technische richting binnen uitdagende ontwikkelprojecten en zorg je dat ideeën worden vertaald naar sterke ontwerpen. Je houdt overzicht, neemt belangrijke beslissingen en helpt engineers om het beste uit hun werk te halen. Wat ga je doen? Als Lead R&D Engineer Machinebouw ben je voor onze opdrachtgever technisch verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling en verbetering van machines, modules en mechanische systemen. Je stuurt engineers inhoudelijk aan, verdeelt werkzaamheden en bewaakt de voortgang van engineeringactiviteiten. Vanuit technische specificaties bepaal je de juiste oplossingsrichting en begeleid je het ontwerp van concept tot detailengineering. Je beoordeelt berekeningen, 3D CAD-modellen, materiaalkeuzes en technische tekeningen en neemt beslissingen bij complexe vraagstukken. Daarbij bewaak je kwaliteit, maakbaarheid, kosten en technische risico's. Je bent het technische aanspreekpunt binnen projecten en zorgt dat verschillende disciplines goed op elkaar aansluiten. Tijdens design reviews bespreek je ontwerpen, geef je engineers inhoudelijke feedback en stuur je bij wanneer dat nodig is. Ook begeleid je prototyping, testen en validatie en vertaal je testresultaten naar technische verbeteringen. Je schakelt regelmatig met Projectmanagement, Manufacturing en andere technische specialisten over planning, eisen en haalbaarheid. Met jouw technische kennis en leiderschap zorg je dat het engineeringproces gestructureerd verloopt en machines voldoen aan de gestelde specificaties.
