Instituut Bert Callier - Het Nest is een school voor buitengewoon secundair onderwijs voor leerlingen met een cognitieve beperking en/of een autismespectrumstoornis. We streven ernaar dat ze aan het einde van hun schoolloopbaan een vervolgtraject hebben binnen een dagbesteding, vrijwilligerswerk of nursing setting.

Wij streven ernaar dat de jongeren aan het einde van hun schoolloopbaan een vervolgtraject hebben binnen een dagbesteding, vrijwilligerswerk of nursing setting.We vertrekken vanuit ieders talenten en leefwereld, waarbij we de jongeren activiteiten op maat aanbieden. We brengen hen naar een zo hoog mogelijk niveau van zelfredzaamheid en werken toekomstgericht. We streven ernaar dat onze jongeren zich integreren en deel uitmaken van onze maatschappij waarbij ze de regie, waar mogelijk, zelf in handen nemen.

Je komt terecht in een klein en hecht team. Samen met het klasteam zorg je voor een veilig school- en klasklimaat zodat de leerlingen tot individueel leren komen. In samenspraak met het team worden de individuele handelingsplannen opgemaakt zodat de aanpak doelgericht en onderbouwd is.

Je communiceert met je collega’s en de ouders over het welzijn van de leerlingen/ hun kind

Je bent zorgzaam, leergierig flexibel en hebt een hart voor de doelgroep.
